Part 1:
And while I was praying, the Lord gave me a vision. And He showed me a wall that was made of large stones. They were rough stones on the face. The face of the stones was roughly cut. But the tops and the bottoms of them were smooth cut.
They were very large on this wall. And I knew in my spirit that the wall was about two-thirds of the way finished. I don’t know how I knew that. I just looked at it and knew.
I don’t know how I was supposed to know how tall it was supposed to be in the first place, but God just dropped that into my heart. And I saw that to the left and to the right of this wall, or to the left and the right of me was a pile of stones, just like the ones that were on this wall. And I saw that there was not a lot of… There were no pulleys or anything like that. But I could tell these stones would have probably been as large as the top of this table.
And I knew they were solid. And I knew they were heavy. And I wondered how they would be added to the wall. And I saw that it was taking four or five, sometimes five people to lift them.
And even at that, it looked like such a struggle to lift them onto the wall. But I could see the struggle and the all the shifting and the moving around, as they had piled up some stones on the bottom, and they were standing on top of them.
Such a struggle, you know, heaving these stones on top. And I could hear all day long and all night long, I could hear the sound of those stones scraping across the wall, that rock on rock, that stone on stone, just gritting, scraping, as these stones were being slid. The Holy Spirit said they were being slid into place.
Part 2:
That night I was praying with some friends, and the Lord showed me something else. And I wrote it down. He showed me that there were several there with sand, handfuls of sand.
I saw different ones reaching down and taking handfuls of sand and sprinkling it to the top of the wall. And I don’t know if people do this or not. I didn’t know what they were doing. But the Lord spoke to me, and He said, “I’m giving them what they’re supposed to do. I’m showing them what to do.”
And by sprinkling that sand and then pushing the stone in place, it evidently reduced the friction of stone on stone. Seems to me like maybe it would make it harder. But in this vision, it made it easier. And the rock, as they were able to get it up, it just rolled into place almost, just slid into place.
And then the Lord spoke to me and He said, “When this new row of stones is in its place, when they’ve been added to the wall…” Not all of them had to be put there with the help of sand, but some of them did. But He said, “When this new row of stones has been added to the wall, it will be time for the finishing stones.” And I didn’t know what the finishing stones were.
So I turned in the vision, and I saw them piled there. They were cut on top differently than those flat stones that just slid across. These on the top had a roof-like design, almost like a pyramid, an angular design that was cut like that on the top. And they were the finishing stones. They were the ones that made the wall complete. They weren’t just there for strength to the wall, but they were there also to make the wall complete.
And I said, “Lord, when those finishing stones are being added, what is that?”
And He said, “That’s the quick, short work.” The quick, short work is going to be adding those finishing stones.” But He said, “There’s a great work that has to be done now before that quick, short work.” And I knew in the Spirit that that work that needed to be done now was getting that last row of stones in place.
And I began to think about people that I knew and know and love. And I thought, “Surely, Lord, that one is one of those last rows of stones that has to be added to the wall.”
I believe what the Lord was showing me was, He’s getting ready to place us in our position on the wall. I believe that He was showing me that things that have never come together are about to come together. Hallelujah. Finding their place. And where we’ve not been able to do it by ourselves, the Lord is unifying. Four or five people were coming together to do it. And then when we weren’t able to do it even like that, the sprinkling of the sand on top of the wall… I believe it came like a revelation, so that these stones were more easy to slide into place.
