Covered by the Blood

This vision took place on a Sunday night while I was standing behind the pulpit. As my spirit was caught away, my body collapsed, and I was moved into a side room and made comfortable in a chair.

I had been on an extended season of fasting and prayer, and for the first time in my life had remained unshaven. On the day before this vision, eight large demonic entities had manifested in my home. I saw them coming again, only this time they brought reinforcements.

The saints who had remained in the sanctuary to worship were informed that there was warfare concerning the vision. As soon as they began to pray, the demonic forces disappeared, and I found myself standing on a rocky overlook with the beautiful mountain of Zion in front of me.

It was the same pyramid-shaped mountain that I had seen in at least four earlier visions, and it was again convulsing with birth pains. However, this time the top of the mountain was crimson red. As I drew closer in the spirit, I saw that there was, in reality, a stream of blood coursing down the mountain from the flat ledge at the top. The stream was widening as it flowed down the mountain. I was a bit uncomfortable as I got used to the idea of watching this river of blood. It was not gory at all, but strangely beautiful.

I could feel a shift in the atmosphere and knew that Satan was extremely angry with me for pressing into this realm to see the blood flow on Mount Zion. I knew this was the freshly applied blood of Jesus; and as I looked down at myself, I too had become bathed in His blood.

I looked up and I saw the saints as I had seen them before, climbing the mountain. As the bloody stream came rushing by them, there was no fear. In truth they all seemed strengthened by the reality of what was happening. When the blood splashed over their bodies, each person rose up with new determination to press onward and upward.

This came as a special encouragement because our local church had been going through a serious time of searching our hearts and motives. It seemed as though the Lord was saying, “I have seen your tears and heard your prayers and I am sending a fresh blood bath to cleanse and set you apart for greater service.” What a joy it is when the revelation strikes that we are truly covered by the blood!
