… That in all things HE might have the preeminence. -Colossians 1:18b

Colossians 1:17-18 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Leviticus 20:23-26 23And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. 24But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, **which have separated you from other people. 25Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. 26And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

Severed: (H914) to divide, separate, set apart, to make a distinction,

Genesis 24:1-9 1And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things. 2And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh: 3And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell: 4But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac. 5And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest? 6And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again. 7The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence. 8And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again. 9And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.

80 Like Eliezer, representative, coming from Abraham, see, to pick up the bride to—to Isaac, the beautiful Rebekah; obedient, the model servant, see, he was about his master’s business, alone. What a type of the Holy Spirit today, the same thing, picking out a Bride, see, in the evening time when the lights are going out.

Genesis 24:10-15 10And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor. 11And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water. 12And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham. 13Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water: 14And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master. 15And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

Desperations

93 Eliezer got desperate when the responsibility was placed upon him to hunt a bride for Isaac. Eliezer of Damascus was a great man. He was favored by Abraham, and he was trusted by Abraham to go out and hunt a bride, a right type of a bride, for his son, Isaac. Through that would bring forth Christ.

94 Now, Eliezer, being a spiritual man, knowed what it meant. The right kind of a woman had to be that—that man’s wife. And how would he choose it? In the hour of his desperation, when he arrived at the city, he prayed and said, “Lord God!” That’s the thing. When you get desperate, go to praying. “Lord God, let the first maid that comes forth and waters the camel, and gives me a drink, be that.” He prayed in the hour of his desperation.

95 Rebekah, the beautiful maid, came, watered the camel. And then he said, “Don’t delay me in my way.” She had to come to a time of decision whether she would go. She was a type of the Bride. Would she—would she go and marry a man who she has never even seen? Now, that’s a great thing. Never even seen him, yet she had only heard by his servant.

96 That’s a type of the Bride. You’ve never seen Christ. But you hear, by His servants, what He is. You sell out everything, leave your homes, everything else it takes, to go to find Him. Now notice, and she made the decision, a type of the Bride, left her denominational home, see, to go.

Genesis 24:16-28 16And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. 17And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. 18And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink. 19And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking. 20And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels. 21And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not. 22And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold; 23And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in? 24And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor. 25She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in. 26And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD. 27And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren. 28And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother’s house these things.

The Time Of Decision

27 And it was in the evening time when he come to the well near the city. And it was about that time that Rebekah had to make a decision. I believe the Angel of the Lord beat him there about a half hour. For He will send His Angels before you, then makes the way clear. And it must have been the Angel of God that spoke to Rebekah’s heart, said, “Go get the water.” And Rebekah came to the Water of Life at the evening time.

You get the picture? It’s the Church in the last days, the evening time. The evening lights are here. It’s the time that the Angel of the Lord in a supernatural, is revealing Himself to the Rebekah, the Bride of Isaac. And somehow or another, She’s moved to go to the Waters of Life. Amen. Oh, my heart is turning over with joy. I can hardly preach when I think of that. The evening time is come. The Angel of the Lord’s in the Message, goes forth and woos the Rebekah to come to the Waters of Life. Moving of the supernatural…

The Time Of Decision

29 So why did Rebekah make that sudden move? Why did she go to the Waters of Life so quickly? Why could the Angel speak to her? Because she was a blood relation to Isaac. And that’s who the Angel can speak to tonight is a Blood relation. By the Blood we are borned into the body of Christ. Rebekah was Isaac’s own cousin by both fathers, which made them blood relation.

And the Bride of Jesus Christ is sanctified through the Blood of Christ, and an open vessel for the Holy Spirit to speak to. No wonder She’ll come to the Waters of Life. “He that heareth, let him come to the waters of Life freely.”

“The Bride said, ‘Come.’”

“He that’s a thirst, let him come.”

“Blessed are ye when you hunger and thirst for righteousness, for you shall be filled.” It’s a promise of the Father.

30 She made her decisions quick. Watch her real quick then in the meeting. Quickly, if they’re ordained to Eternal Life, they’ll know it. There’s something in the message that stirs them.

That’s what stirred Rebekah. The message stirred her, Angel was leading her. Oh, can’t you see the picture? The Angel of the Lord leading her. Then she was stirred. And immediately when she watered the camel, the gift went on her. He begin to take out the earrings, which means faith cometh by hearing, (you see), put the bracelets on, the works of your hands. He got her ready. As soon as she begin to water, give the waters of Life, testify, tell others, get the message out. Tell them what has happened to you.

The Evening Messenger

244 Eliezer sweated it out, until he found character. That’s right. Who would he get? And he trusted God. Character for what? Character for Isaac, the bride, which the Church is type of. You know that. That was the natural seed of Abraham; this is the royal Seed of Abraham. Well, if Eliezer, the messenger hunting the bride and trying to find character, if that man is come, a messenger of the last day, trying to find the Bride for Christ, he will not look for a denominational membership. He will look for character that’s willing.

245 Watch! Good character first, then to get her ready to meet Isaac. After he found the character, then get her stand still long enough to listen to his message of Isaac.

246 That’s the messenger of the last days, the evening Light, is first find that Church (where will they believe the Message?), hunt it. Can you read what I’m talking about? Hunt where that Church is that’ll even let you come in, that won’t close the door in your face. And then when you do there, then you’ve found character. Now if she will stand still long enough to tell her how that Bride’s got to be dressed! She’s got to be clothed. Stand still! If she could get…

247 Look at the little Rebekah listening to every word, her little heart was beating. She…He—he was telling her. Now, you’ve sweated it out, “Where will I go?” until I find the character. Then when I find the character, then make her stand still long enough to get her ready to go to meet him. Oh, my, what a striking thing! (Wish we had a little more time on that clock.) Get her ready; stand still to listen to his message of him. Eliezer wasn’t speaking of hisself, but he was speaking of the one he was sent from. And he had the gifts to prove that he was sent from him. Amen! He wanted to clothe her with these things. You know how he fixed her up.

Genesis 24:29-50 29And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well. 30And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well. 31And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the LORD; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels. 32And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men’s feet that were with him. 33And there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on. 34And he said, I am Abraham’s servant. 35And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. 36And Sarah my master’s wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath. 37And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell: 38But thou shalt go unto my father’s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son. 39And I said unto my master, Peradventure the woman will not follow me. 40And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house: 41Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath. 42And I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go: 43Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink; 44And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my master’s son. 45And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee. 46And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also. 47And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands. 48And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son. 49And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left. 50Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good. 51Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master’s son’s wife, as the LORD hath spoken. 52And it came to pass, that, when Abraham’s servant heard their words, he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth. 53And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.

Genesis 24:54-61 24And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master. 55And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go. 56And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master. 57And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth. 58And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go. 59And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham’s servant, and his men. 60And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them. 61And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.

31 And then there was another great decision had to be made. Then after she was given, then the parents said, “Well, I would… Just let her stay around about ten days.” Let her hang around the revival to really feel whether she has decided to do it or not. I haven’t got much confidence in a person make a decision to wait even until tomorrow.

But the message had stirred Rebekah. She was satisfied the message was from God.

So the parents said, “Oh, let her stick around awhile. She’ll get over it. It’s just a little excitement. She was over to that revival, you know, and…”

But, oh, Then the—the true servant said, “Don’t—don’t weary us. Don’t hinder me.” A lot of the servants of God has been hindered by put-off decisions. “Don’t hinder me, seeing that the Lord has sent me, seeing that he’s been good to me. Don’t hinder me.”

Then they said, “Let her make her own decision.” That’s where you stand tonight. Make your own decision.

Then they called Rebekah and said, “Will you go with this man, or do you want to stay around a little while to see whether you really want to do it.”

She said, “I will go.” She was ready. Her decision was quickly made. She knowed there’d Something been leading her. She knowed something had happened to her. And she knew that It was God, and she was satisfied. She wanted to go quickly.

So she put on her garment. And she got all the gifts that was sent to her by the father to meet the son. Oh, God, if the Church could only make that decision right quick. Put on all of her gifts, and she climbed up on the camel and took out.

Genesis 24:62-67 62And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country. 63And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. 64And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel. 65For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself. 66And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done. 67And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

The Fifth Seal

99 Notice Rebekah; when—when the—the servant of Abraham, Eliezer…When he came to get Rebekah, she…He mounted her upon a camel, the very camel she watered. And she rode this camel, to meet her unseen bridegroom. The very thing she watered, was the thing that took her to her future home and husband.

100 And it’s the same thing today, see. The very thing that the Church is watering, that is the Seed, the Seed of the Word. It’s the very Word that becomes alive and carries us to our unseen Bridegroom. See? See?

101 And look how perfectly. Isaac had left the home, and was out in the fields, away from his home, when Rebekah saw him.

102 And the Church meets Christ in the air, and then He takes Her back into the Home, Father’s Home, where the mansions are prepared. Isaac took Rebekah the same way.

103 And, notice, it was love at the first sight. Oh, my! She just run to meet him.

104 And that’s the way the Church will meet Christ, in the air, and forever be with Him.

363. How will it take place, and when is…where is the…where is it the Bride goes? (Translation of the Bride)

251 It goes to Glory, Heaven for the Wedding Supper, just in type like Isaac and Rebekah, when Rebekah went to meet Isaac. Remember Eliezer, representing now the message that went forth from Abraham, Eliezer went forth to find a bride for Chri-…for Isaac. He found the beautiful Rebekah in the cool of the evening, a little dark-skinned girl, coming out with a waterpot on. And Eliezer prayed, said, “Lord God, give me good journey now and success for my master, Abraham.”

252 And he said, “Go, don’t take him amongst the Philistines; don’t take her.” Get over here amongst his people, showing that the Bride of Christ and Christ is blood relation, ‘cause Rebekah and—and Isaac were cousins.

253 And so they went down, and this beautiful Rebekah come out and got the water; and he prayed; and watered the camel and whatever more. And then, you’ll notice Rebekah had…The final choice had to come to Rebekah. He asked the father for the girl; he asked the mother for the girl; and they neither one could agree. Wanted her to stay awhile. He said, “Don’t hinder me on my work.”

254 And Rebekah had to make the choice, ‘cause he said, “She is the maid; let her make the choice.”

255 And as soon as it was made to her, quickly her mind was made up; she said, “I’ll go.” And she mounted upon the camel and went to meet the…Look, the very camel she watered was the camel that packed her to her bridegroom and all of her success. And the very camel, the very power of (that beast in the Bible represents power)…And the very Power that we give water and praise to (Amen! See?), water, life, praise to, the Word, is the very thing that packs us into the Gloryland to meet the Bridegroom. Yes, sir! Amen!

Watching for the coming of that glad Millennium day;

When our blessed Lord shall come, catch His waiting Bride away.

256 And remember, Isaac had left the tent and was standing out in the field meditating in the late afternoon. (Amen!) When he saw Rebekah coming…And she’d never saw him and he’d never saw her, but it was love at the first sight. She fell in love with him and he with her, and she was even veiled. Amen! Oh, my!

257 And look, when she seen him, her heart was so full of joy. She didn’t know who she was going to marry, but by faith. Amen! And—and—and remember, Jesus will leave the Kingdom, and we’ll not meet Him in Glory, we’re to meet Him in the air, between heavens and earth, where it’s expanded to redeem us. And he met Rebekah in the middle, between her home and his home. Amen! Took her into his home, and married her, and fell heir to everything his father had. Amen! Oh, perfect, just perfect. All right.

68 Coming back from Africa the other day, I kind of tired. You see, it’s just it’s nighttime there now, and you have to turn around. And then time I got turned around, come back again. We had a wonderful trip, hunting trip, one of the best I ever had in my life. Then Billy’s got some pictures, maybe he’d have a time he can show it somewhere, and show you the trip.

69 I had a dream. I’m always dreaming of being back at that Public Service Company, somehow. So I—I thought I was kind of ratting on the job, I was supposed…They just let me have my own way, and I thought I would…Instead of going out and walking the line or collecting the bills, or something I was supposed to do, I just said, “Well, I’m my own boss,” I just went swimming. And I got down there and took off my…these clothes, and put on my swimming clothes. I was by myself. And I thought, “Say, this ain’t right, the company…This is daytime, the company is paying me for this time.” Thought, “That’s strange.” And then I thought, “Well, the money I collected on the route…” I had both the patrol and the route mixed together, and I said, “Well, the money I collected, I’ve done something, romping around here; I’ve lost all my tickets, and I got their money and my money mixed together. Now how will I know who paid the bill?” I thought, “Just because I wasn’t paying any attention!” I thought, “That’s not right. There is only one thing for me to do, that’s, go back to my superintendent and tell him.” That was Don Willis, I said, “Don, I lost those tickets. Now here is all the money I got, and here is their money, together. Leave it here at the cashier. And the people, when they come in, they’ll have a receipt that I received their bill.”

70 Probably people sitting right here that I—I…I know there is. That I collected from them in—in the days, and I’d…and I’d give a receipt. You know, it was only ten percent if you let your bill run over. And maybe, a dollar and a half, be fifteen cents over. A lot of them people lived…We just liked to get together and talk, and they’d just let their bill go, and me come talk to them a while. Give fifteen cents, you know, just to sit down and talk a little while, and to collect their bill. So it got it rank, and just got so many bills I couldn’t collect them.

71 Well, I thought that’s the only way I could do it. And I woke up.

72 The place where we live, Sister Larson, I don’t think she is here, she’s been very nice to us; and she don’t like for me to say that. But she is a very fine lady, and we’ve been living in her rooms. She’s got two apartments, small apartments together, we rented them both. And wife and I sleep over here in—in the other apartment where I kind of receive the people when I can, and there is a couple of little twin beds in there.

73 I woke up. She wasn’t awake yet. And after a while, she woke up. And I waved over at her, and she looked back and batted her eyes a few times. I said, “You sleep good?” She said, “No.”

74 And I said, “I had the awfulest dream. I was back at that Public Service Company again.” I said, “What have I done?”

75 I remember, as a little boy, or a young man, I walked all those lines at Salem, Indiana, different…I’d go in, buy a—a breakfast, maybe a bowl of oats. In that hot sun and everything, and it’d just make me sick, to eat breakfast. I’d turn in ten cents, on my petty cash. The superintendent come down and said, said, “You know what they said in the—in the meeting? ‘Who is that knothead that would turn in ten cents, for breakfast?’” Said, “You ought to at least turn in fifty cents.” Now, all of you know, fifty cents was a big breakfast in them days. And I said, “Well, I don’t eat that much.” He said, “Well, the rest of them turns in fifty cents. You ought to turn in fifty cents.” I said, “Well, I don’t use it.” Said, “Turn it in, anyhow.” That was my superintendent.

76 Well, I thought, “Well, what can I do? I have to charge fifty cents, and I eat ten cents.” So I’d go out on the street and get some little kids that didn’t have no breakfast, and get them forty-cents worth of breakfast. So then I thought, “Well, what could…Maybe that’s what He holds against me.”

77 And I remember, here not long ago, they come through on the patrol, tore up that back yard back there, and said, “Turn in your bill.” You know they got patrol rights, but they have to pay for damage.

78 I just wrote back and said, “You don’t owe nothing.” I thought, “That’d pay for them forty-centses. Maybe I’ve spent twenty or thirty dollars during that time, giving it to kids. Maybe that will do it.” Kept on dreaming.

79 Then I had a big tree out there, the kids played under it, and the patrol…Now they patrol in a helicopter. And so he come in and said, “Billy, how about cutting that tree?”

80 I said, “No, don’t cut it. We’re going to trim it.” I said, “Brother Wood and I are going to trim it.” Said, “Well, I’ll just have the man come by and trim it.” I said, “Now, don’t cut it.” He said, “I won’t cut it.”

81 I went off on a trip. When I come back, she was cut plumb on the ground. Then I had a lawsuit coming, you see. I said, “Well, Lord, this will clear it up, I know.” So I struck that off, that was all right, just let it go. Well, I still dreamed it.

82 When I got up the other morning, I said, “Well…” The first thing we do of a morning when we get up, is pray together, then pray when we go to bed at night. And then after she went on over to get the kiddies’ breakfast, I started to pray. I said, “Lord, I must have been an awful guy. What have I done in life, that I—I can’t get away from that Public Service Company.”

83 I went in and took a bath, and come back out. And something just seemed to say to me, “Maybe I’m ratting on His job.” I thought, “Here is about five years I ain’t done nothing, just waiting on Him.”

84 Standing up there the other day. They built us a new home up there, and Brother Mosley come down, was talking about it. I said, “That’s just a little gift from my Father.” And he started crying. I said, “You see, He said, ‘If you will leave your homes, houses, lands, fathers, mothers, I’ll give you houses, lands, fathers, mothers, and a hundredfold in this life, and Eternal Life to come.’” I said, “See, I had to leave the tabernacle that I love so dearly. My home that the Lord give me up there, had to leave it. He just give me this one back.” I said, “He is wonderful, you see.” [Blank spot on tape—Ed.] And he started crying.

85 Well, I—I said, “I had to come out here and separate myself, come to this desert.” And I thought, “Wonder why God would bring me to a desert, out here where there is nothing but scorpions and Gila monsters?”

86 It’s not only a desert, is it hot, but it’s spiritually a desert. Oh, my! There is no spiritual life at all, in the churches, they’re against…Why, you never seen such in your life! We don’t even have a church to go to, or nothing. And then when…The people almost perish, spiritually. I notice it in the people that come out there, see the differences in them, watching it.

87 And so you stay under the Spirit of God, and your life becomes sweet, tender, like water brings this grass and soft buds. If…this grass, in Arizona, wouldn’t grow; these trees would be cactus, them leaves just wind up and make stickery. That’s the way it is when you get dry around the church, everybody is sticking one another, you know. And, see, you got to have soft waters of rain soften you up, and make leaves and shade for the pilgrim that passes by.

88 And so Something said to me, “Maybe you’re ratting on God’s job.” So, I prayed for a vision.

89 And Meda just got me a new Bible; and Brother—Brother Brown, from up in Ohio, got me a new Bible; both of them at the same time, at Christmas. I went and got one of the new Bibles. I said, “Lord, in the days gone by, You had a Urim and Thummim.”

90 Now listen, let me say this. Course, they’re not…this, is not taping this meeting, the reason I’m ask…saying this. Let me say, don’t do this. It’s not a good thing.

91 But I said, “Lord, it used to be, when a dreamer dreamed a dream, that they took it down to the Urim and Thummim, and told it. And if the—if the Urim and Thummim flashed the lights back, a supernatural Light, the dream was true.” I said, “But that priesthood and that Urim and Thummim is done away with. Your Bible is the Urim and Thummim now; Lord, may I never do this again. But I’ve asked You and prayed to You, to give me a vision, speak to me about why am I dreaming these dreams. And what have I done? If I’ve harmed, if I’ve done anything to any person in the world, let me know. I’ll—I’ll—I’ll go make it right. If I owe the Public Service Company, if I done something wrong to them or any other person, if I done something wrong to You, let me know. I—I want to make it right.”

92 Let’s make it right, now. Don’t wait till after a while, it may be too late. Let’s do it now.

93 And I said, “Surely, there is something in this Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation, that some character in there that You dealt with, would be on the same basis that would be my question. If somebody done something, and—and You got after him about it, then let me turn to that place in the Bible. And if somebody, whatever they done, it’ll lean my way. Where I’ve done wrong, or something You want me to do, or haven’t done, let me see some character in the Bible like that.”

94 And I closed my eyes, just let the Bible fall open, put my finger on a Scripture, Genesis 24:7. Eliezer, Abraham’s faithful servant, the model servant of the Bible, being sent to hunt the bride for Isaac. Chills run over me. Sure, that’s my…that’s right with the rest of my Message, pulling out the Bride.

95 He said, “Sware that you’ll not take a bride out of these, but go to my own people.” He said, “What if the woman won’t come with me?”

96 Said, “Then you’re free of this oath.” He said, “And the God of Heaven will send His Angel before you, to direct you.” He went right straight out and begin praying, and he met the beautiful Rebekah that become the bride of Isaac.

97 Just a perfect Message, back to the Word, “Go get that Bride!” That’s a duty. That’s what I’m here for. That’s what I’m trying to do, is call out a Bride.

98 Remember in California there, that interview of the Bride, preview, I had it here. How that Bride come up first, and seen Her go by. Then here come Miss America, Miss Asia, and all, oh, the awfulest looking thing! And then the same Bride passed by again. One of them got out of step, and I was getting Her back in step; two of them, it was. And that’s what I was supposed to do, keep that Bride in step, hunt that man.

99 I said, “God, I’m going back home, renew my vows again, and start out anew.” So that’s what we’re planning on doing, that’s what I’m here for.

240 And as the little experience I had with You the other morning, “Go get my Son a Bride. Take It from among the people, among the churches. Pull out that Bride.” Let me, in prayer now, Lord. You send the Rebekah; I’ll try to be the Eliezer. Help me to be a faithful servant. And may the God of Heaven send His Angel before me, before us, that we will collect the things together and select the Bride that He has chosen. We ask it in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
