Psalm 116:16-19 16O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. 17I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. 18I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people, 19In the courts of the LORD’S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

Psalms 100:1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves*; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

*Thanksgiving: [8426. תּוֹדָה tow-dah, todah] properly, an extension of the hand, i.e. (by implication) AVOWAL, or (usually) adoration; specifically, a choir or procession of worshippers: —LOUD confession (VOCAL), sacrifice of praise, thanks(-giving, or THANKS offering). Thanks, is the speaking of the excellence of a person or object, with a focus on personal gratitude. It is an ATTITUDE OF THANKING GOD FOR HIS PROMISE FOR DELIVERANCE EVEN WHILE STILL IN NEED, BEFORE IT HAPPENS.

Psalm 50:14 14Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Psalm 50:23 23Whoso offereth PRAISE glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Psalms 26:6-7 6I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD: 7That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous (fierce, hard difficult)** times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous (lovers of money), boasters (self-exalted, braggart) , proud (arrogant, self-important, haughty), blasphemers (defaming, demeaning), disobedient to parents, unthankful (ungrateful), unholy (opposing what is sacred, having no reverence), 3Without natural affection (hard-hearted, unfeeling, without regard for others), trucebreakers (irreconcilable), false accusers (slanderous), incontinent (without self-control, driven by appetites and passions), fierce (savage, brutal), despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors (betrayers), heady (rash, reckless, thoughtless, headstrong), high-minded (conceited, puffed-up, senseless), lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness (holding to a structure of piety), but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Hebrews 12:14 14Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 15See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 16Rejoice evermore. 17Pray without ceasing. 18In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP) Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Psalm 100:4 4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Luke 17:11 (KJVS) And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. 15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole

James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Hebrew 13:5 By Him (Christ) therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

Though people go around say, “How do you feel?”

Say, “Wonderful. Praise the Lord.” Then you’re going to run the devil away from you.

Psalms 18:33-34 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places. 34He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 17Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. 1 Timothy 1:12 12For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Colossians 1:9-13 (KJVS) For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12Giving thanks unto the Father**, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 15See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 16Rejoice evermore. 17Pray without ceasing. 18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP) Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Psalms 149:1-6 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. 2Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. 4For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. 6Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; 7To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

Romans 8:28 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28–29 (AMP) We are assured and know that [* a*God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose. 29For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was * a*aware and * b*loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 5:2-5 2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 5:2-5 (AMP) Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God. 3Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. 4And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of * a*character (approved faith and * b*tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] * c*joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. 5Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves

2 Samuel 23:1 (KJVS) Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, 2The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. 3The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. 4And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain. 5Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.
