Hebrews 2:12-18 12Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. 13And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. 14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

A Total Deliverance

87 Jesus was completely, totally man. He could cry like a man. He could eat like a man. He could be tired like a man. He was completely, totally man, in His physical being. And in His Spirit, He was completely, totally God, so He made His flesh submissive to the Spirit that was in Him. You see, He was tempted in all manners like we are. He was man, not an Angel. He was a man. He had desires and temptations, just like we do. The Bible said He did. He was a man, not an Angel above temptation. Hebrews 1 said, that, “He was…” Hebrews 1:4 said, “He was made lower than the Angels.” He was man, completely man; that God took a complete man, to bring total deliverance, and He filled Him with His Spirit. The Holy Ghost was in Him, without measure. And He was tempted like we were. And He was completely God. He proved it when He raised the dead, when He stopped nature, the roaring seas and the mighty winds. When He spoke to the trees, and so forth, they obeyed Him. He was God, inside. And He could have been man, for He was man, but He totally and completely delivered Himself (as a man) into the hands of God, for the service of God.

88 And He is our example. We are men and women. We’re also Christians. If He’s our example, let us completely deliver ourselves into the hands of the Holy Ghost, that we might be subjects of the Kingdom of God.

89 He was totally man; He was totally God. But He surrendered His natural parts to His…and His physical parts, and His own thinking, and His own doing, and His own cares, and, “I do only that which pleases the Father.” There you are. Totally delivered from human beings. The priests come to Him, the great men, and said, “Rabbi, so-and-so,” and tried to bribe Him into their affiliations and denominations. But He was totally delivered because He trusted in God.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need**.**

Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the Heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of grace*, that we* may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Revelation 3:14-22 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

104 Look. Temptation was for Him. You know that? The Bible said, “He was tempted in all points like we are, yet without sin.” He was tempted by—by drinking. He was tempted by women. He was tempted by everything that could be tempted by. He was tempted by everything that we are. He was a Man, and yet you couldn’t put a mark on Him. Yes, sir.

105 Overcome means “to recognize the devil in every one of his tricks.” Lot of people says, “There is no devil. It’s just a thought.” Don’t you believe that. There’s a real devil. He’s just as real as you are or anybody. A real devil, and you must recognize him real. You must know he’s a devil. Then, the same time that you—you recognize him, and know that he’s a devil and he’s against you, then, to overcome, you must recognize that the God in you is greater and mightier than he is, that the One that’s in you has already overcome him. And, by His grace, you are more than a match for him. Amen. There’s real overcoming, when you recognize.

178 Overcome how? By taking the Word, the promise, in humility, humbly walking.

This consecrated cross I’ll bear Until death shall set me free, Then go Home, a crown to wear…

Let us pray.

181 Lord Jesus, hour and fifteen minutes now, standing here, trying to take Your Word and explain to the people how to overcome. You told us how it’s done. You didn’t only tell us, but You showed how it was done. You led us. You showed us how to do it: receive the Word inside of us, and be sure to hold to that Word, “It is written,” in every temptation; but be humble, walk humbly. Then we have conquered, through You, through Your power which has already conquered our enemy. And the only thing we have to do is—is just walk humble with faith, believing That, and our badge of identification of the Holy Ghost, and Satan has to move.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins,He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."**

At Thy Word, Lord

32 Now, He cannot heal you, or cannot save you, or do one thing for you, until first you accept it, and believe it, and confess it. That’s right. You’ve got to confess it. Not, you got to feel it, you got to confess it. He’s not the high Priest of your feelings; He’s the high Priest of your confession (That’s right.), what you confess.

Now, if you’ll get prayed for, or set in this building this afternoon, the Holy Spirit would move in here and you’d feel His blessed Presence, and hear His Word going forth, saying, that He healed all and so forth like that, and seeing the power of God. Here it go forth, and knowing it’s for everyone, and you’d walk out, say, “Well, I feel just as bad as I did we I went in.” He couldn’t do a thing for you.

And you say, “Well, I’m… I—I accept it now.” And then in the morning you get up and say, “Well, I still got that headache; I still feel as bad I did.” Then you’ve dropped right down. You’ll never live above your confession. Let the saintliest person in this building right now, just make up in your mind that you’re not a Christian any more, that’s when you become not a Christian. See?

When you go out, and say, “Are you a Christian?” “No, I used to be, but I—I’m not no more.” You’re fallen from grace right then. See? It’s faith. See? It’s either faith or unbelief. You’re possessed with those two powers, either faith or unbelief. If you’ve got faith, you’re saved because you are a believer. If you haven’t got faith, it—you’re a sinner.

47 For God can only save you as you testify. He can only heal you as you testify. He is setting at the right hand of the Father tonight to make intercession upon your profession. It isn’t how loud you cry, how hard you beat the altar, how many good deeds you do; it’s your faith that saves you.

And if you’ll confess it with your lips and coming from your heart, He goes to work as a High Priest setting at the right hand of the Father to make intercessions upon your confession. Hebrews 3:1**, He cannot do one thing for you until first you believe it and accept and confess it to be so.**

And the people today, they’ll go out, say, “Well, I felt better last night, but today I’m so bad I just can’t hardly stand it.” That’s just exactly when you lose your confession and drop right down. No matter who you are, how saintly, how godly you are, you’re a minister, clergyman, or you’re a deacon, or whatever you are, or you been a Christian for fifty years, if you go out of here tomorrow and lose faith that you’re a Christian and start telling people you’re not a Christian any more, you’re backslid. You’re gone.

48 Only by your confession can you be saved. That’s the most powerful weapon that God put in the hand of man, is a committal and a confession. It’ll do it every time, if you’ll believe it, accept it on those basis, and believe it and stay with it. Keep confessing it. When you confess it… You know what a lot of people look at symptoms. They always go around say, “Well now, I don’t feel any better.” That doesn’t have one thing to do with it. It’s what you believe, not what you feel…

Anything that was included in the atonement is the personal property of every believer. When a man gets saved or a women, boy, or girl, God gives them a checkbook, as it was, with Jesus’ Name at the bottom of every check for anything redemptive blessing that Jesus died for. It’s your personal property. Don’t be afraid to fill it out. The Bank of Heaven will recognize it.

Jesus said, “Whatsoever things you desire when you pray, believe you receive it. Whatever you ask the Father in My Name that I will do,” the unlimited unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ in that promise.

67 In God’s own thinking; God, the great Spirit. In the beginning, before there was a beginning, He was God, and did you know you were in Him then? If you are a Christian now, you was in Him then.

And then, if that be so, the whole Godhead bodily shaped up in the Person of Jesus Christ. And then when Jesus died at the cross, I died with Him, for I was in Him then; for He was the fullness of the Word, manifested, knowing that we would be manifested later. And we was at Calvary with Him. We went in the grave with Him. And we raised with Him and His resurrection. And now we’ve ascended, by His Spirit, to the Throne of grace, sitting together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Always!

Hebrews 12:22-24 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in Heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new Covenant, and to the Blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

145 **You become a new person. Amen! Not just an old one patched up, by joining church or trying to turn a new page, but you are a complete brand-new unit.**God takes the old man and burns him completely out, with the Holy Ghost and Fire, and comes Himself, sends down your representation. “No man can come to Me except My Father has drawed him. And all the Father has given Me will come to Me.” You see it? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] Same plan; same way.

146 Satan was…will be taken from the earth, just exactly like Satan was taken from you. Satan cannot bother; or, he can tempt, but he cannot get a born-again Christian. For, God, from the foundation of the world, foresaw him, and sent Jesus to redeem him, **and the Blood speaks for him.**How can he sin when it can’t be seen, even, by God? He don’t even…The only thing He hears is your voice. He sees your representation. Amen! That is true. See?

Hebrews 13: 11-13 11For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. 12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 13Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 7:25 AMP Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.

Colossians 2:13-15 “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, *having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:20 20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:20 AMP So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.

Hebrews 7:11-28 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. 13For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. 14For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. 15And it is yet far more evident**: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,** 16Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. 17For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 18For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. 20And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: 21(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) 22By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. 23And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Psalms 110:4 4The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 13:20-21 20Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1 John 5:14 (KJVS) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Matthew 16:18-19 18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 16:18-19 AMP (18)And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros–a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra–a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]. (19)I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. [Isa. 22:22.]

Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

Matthew 18:18-20 18Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Kenneth S. Wuest Expanded Translation: And the councils of the unseen world shall not overpower it. 172 Man always feared death. Christ became sin, made low, to take death upon Himself. And He’s not ashamed to be called our “Brother,” for He was tempted just like we are tempted. And He can make the…be the right kind of an intercessor, ‘cause He stood the same kind of a temptation that you stand. And He took your place, knowing that you couldn’t take it yourself.

173 So, don’t you see, brother, sister? The whole thing is grace. All of it is grace. It’s not what you do, anyhow. It’s what He’s already done for you**. Now, you can’t do one thing to merit your salvation. Your salvation is a gift. Christ became sin, that you might become righteous. And He’s the right kind of a Chief Captain for our salvation, because He suffered just like we suffered. He’s been tempted just like we’re tempted. And He’s not ashamed to be called “ourBrother,” because He knows what we go through with.** Oh, blessed be His Name! For verily he took not on him the form of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

174 Oh, my! He didn’t become an Angel. He become the Seed of Abraham. “And we, being dead in Christ, take on Abraham’s Seed, and are heirs according to the promise.” See? He never took on the form of an Angel. He never become an Angel. He become a Man. He become the Seed of Abraham, and took the sting of death in His Own flesh, to reconcile us back to God, and now sets there for an Intercessor. My, how could we reject It, friend?

He had to suffer all of that. In order to do it, He couldn’t be as God in Spirit; He had to be God in flesh.**

How I would watch every step, that I didn’t stumble, placing my feet just where they should be.” I thought, “How I would hold those two drops of Blood.”

But you know, in the sight of God tonight, setting before me is a greater thing to Him than His Own Blood, because it’s the purchase of His Blood. He shed His Blood for you, and here I hold you in listening tonight of the Gospel. Then how close I must be to tell you exactly the truth, because God will make me answer for it at the day of the judgment, more than if I took the Blood, the literal Blood, and threw it on the ground. It would be a greater penalty to mislead the people, the purchase of His Blood, than it would be to throw the Blood from the charger that I had it in.

Yes, sir. He’s whipped in sickness; he’s whipped in disappointments; he’s whipped in everything. He’s whipped in death. He can’t scare me; he can’t scare you. That’s all he is a big old shadow.

30So he just might as well get on down the street. I just seen his red light go over the hill a while ago, didn’t you? He’s gone. Yes, sir. All right. Praise the Lord. I begin to feel pretty good now.

And He didn’t…If He’d a went up there, as God, He’d have never died that kind of death; can’t kill God. But He didn’t have to do it.

It was all redeemed in that one body. See? They are one, same, same Word. The same Word, spoke of the Groom, speaks of the Bride.**
