A Total Deliverance

87 Jesus was completely, totally man. He could cry like a man. He could eat like a man. He could be tired like a man. He was completely, totally man, in His physical being. And in His Spirit, He was completely, totally God, so He made His flesh submissive to the Spirit that was in Him. You see, He was tempted in all manners like we are. He was man, not an Angel. He was a man. He had desires and temptations, just like we do. The Bible said He did. He was a man, not an Angel above temptation. Hebrews 1 said, that, “He was…” Hebrews 1:4 said, “He was made lower than the Angels.” He was man, completely man; that God took a complete man, to bring total deliverance, and He filled Him with His Spirit. The Holy Ghost was in Him, without measure. And He was tempted like we were. And He was completely God. He proved it when He raised the dead, when He stopped nature, the roaring seas and the mighty winds. When He spoke to the trees, and so forth, they obeyed Him. He was God, inside. And He could have been man, for He was man, but He totally and completely delivered Himself (as a man) into the hands of God, for the service of God.
88 And He is our example. We are men and women. We’re also Christians. If He’s our example, let us completely deliver ourselves into the hands of the Holy Ghost, that we might be subjects of the Kingdom of God.
89 He was totally man; He was totally God. But He surrendered His natural parts to His…and His physical parts, and His own thinking, and His own doing, and His own cares, and, “I do only that which pleases the Father.” There you are. Totally delivered from human beings. The priests come to Him, the great men, and said, “Rabbi, so-and-so,” and tried to bribe Him into their affiliations and denominations. But He was totally delivered because He trusted in God.

Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the Heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of grace*, that we* may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Revelation 3:14-22 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

178 Overcome how? By taking the Word, the promise, in humility, humbly walking.
This consecrated cross I’ll bear Until death shall set me free, Then go Home, a crown to wear…
Let us pray.
181 Lord Jesus, hour and fifteen minutes now, standing here, trying to take Your Word and explain to the people how to overcome. You told us how it’s done. You didn’t only tell us, but You showed how it was done. You led us. You showed us how to do it: receive the Word inside of us, and be sure to hold to that Word, “It is written,” in every temptation; but be humble, walk humbly. Then we have conquered, through You, through Your power which has already conquered our enemy. And the only thing we have to do is—is just walk humble with faith, believing That, and our badge of identification of the Holy Ghost, and Satan has to move.

32 Now, He cannot heal you, or cannot save you, or do one thing for you, until first you accept it, and believe it, and confess it. That’s right. You’ve got to confess it. Not, you got to feel it, you got to confess it. He’s not the high Priest of your feelings; He’s the high Priest of your confession (That’s right.), what you confess.
Now, if you’ll get prayed for, or set in this building this afternoon, the Holy Spirit would move in here and you’d feel His blessed Presence, and hear His Word going forth, saying, that He healed all and so forth like that, and seeing the power of God. Here it go forth, and knowing it’s for everyone, and you’d walk out, say, “Well, I feel just as bad as I did we I went in.” He couldn’t do a thing for you.
And you say, “Well, I’m… I—I accept it now.” And then in the morning you get up and say, “Well, I still got that headache; I still feel as bad I did.” Then you’ve dropped right down. You’ll never live above your confession. Let the saintliest person in this building right now, just make up in your mind that you’re not a Christian any more, that’s when you become not a Christian. See?
When you go out, and say, “Are you a Christian?” “No, I used to be, but I—I’m not no more.” You’re fallen from grace right then. See? It’s faith. See? It’s either faith or unbelief. You’re possessed with those two powers, either faith or unbelief. If you’ve got faith, you’re saved because you are a believer. If you haven’t got faith, it—you’re a sinner.

47 For God can only save you as you testify. He can only heal you as you testify. He is setting at the right hand of the Father tonight to make intercession upon your profession. It isn’t how loud you cry, how hard you beat the altar, how many good deeds you do; it’s your faith that saves you.
And if you’ll confess it with your lips and coming from your heart, He goes to work as a High Priest setting at the right hand of the Father to make intercessions upon your confession. Hebrews 3:1**, He cannot do one thing for you until first you believe it and accept and confess it to be so.**
And the people today, they’ll go out, say, “Well, I felt better last night, but today I’m so bad I just can’t hardly stand it.” That’s just exactly when you lose your confession and drop right down. No matter who you are, how saintly, how godly you are, you’re a minister, clergyman, or you’re a deacon, or whatever you are, or you been a Christian for fifty years, if you go out of here tomorrow and lose faith that you’re a Christian and start telling people you’re not a Christian any more, you’re backslid. You’re gone.
48 Only by your confession can you be saved. That’s the most powerful weapon that God put in the hand of man, is a committal and a confession. It’ll do it every time, if you’ll believe it, accept it on those basis, and believe it and stay with it. Keep confessing it. When you confess it… You know what a lot of people look at symptoms. They always go around say, “Well now, I don’t feel any better.” That doesn’t have one thing to do with it. It’s what you believe, not what you feel…

67 In God’s own thinking; God, the great Spirit. In the beginning, before there was a beginning, He was God, and did you know you were in Him then? If you are a Christian now, you was in Him then.
And then, if that be so, the whole Godhead bodily shaped up in the Person of Jesus Christ. And then when Jesus died at the cross, I died with Him, for I was in Him then; for He was the fullness of the Word, manifested, knowing that we would be manifested later. And we was at Calvary with Him. We went in the grave with Him. And we raised with Him and His resurrection. And now we’ve ascended, by His Spirit, to the Throne of grace, sitting together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Always!

Hebrews 7:11-28 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. 13For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. 14For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. 15And it is yet far more evident**: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,** 16Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. 17For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 18For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. 20And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: 21(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) 22By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. 23And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
