Acts 16:14 14And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
Acts 16:14 (AMP) 14One of those who listened to us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a dealer in fabrics dyed in purple. She was [already] a worshiper of God, and the Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.
John 15:26 26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 15:26 (AMP) But when the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He [Himself] will testify regarding Me.
- The Spirit of TRUTH Brings to Us a More Perfect Revelation of God
1 Corinthians 2:6-14 6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden* wisdom*, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Colossians 1:26 26Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Ephesians 3:3-6 (KJVS) How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Ephesians 3:9 9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
- *Jesus said he had many things to say to the disciples, but that they could not bear them yet.
John 16:12 12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
John 16:12 (AMP) I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now.
- YET, he also said that when the spirit of truth was come, he would receive the things of Jesus and show them to them.*
John 16:13 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13 (AMP) But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].

12 Now in this 13th verse. “Howbeit when the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you unto all Truth. When the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all Truth**.” What is Truth? The Word.** “For He shall speak, He shall not speak of Himself; but what He hears, He’ll speak. What He hears, He’ll speak.” Other words, He’ll be the One that will reveal the thing, you see. And the 4th chapter of Hebrews, the Bible said that “The Word of God is sharper, more powerful than a two-edged sword, a—a Discerner of the thoughts of the mind, the heart.” See, “What He hears, He’ll speak, and He will show you things to come.” See? What’s going to do that? The Holy Spirit Who will come in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
- We cannot know God without knowing the Spirit of Truth—because we cannot receive anything God has for us in the light of the Word IF the Holy Spirit does not illumine the WORD to us.
John 16:15 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
John 16:15 (AMP) 15Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.
- Truth is a person: Jesus Christ.*

5 I am very thankful that this Spirit of Truth was to be with us to the end. And that Spirit of Truth is none other, but the Lord Jesus, Himself, in spiritual form. For He said, “A little while, and the world seeth Me no more. Yet you shall see Me, for I’ll be with you, even in you, to the end of the world.” And that means tonight**. And wherever we are, we have the comforting Words of knowing that Jesus will be with us.**
To many of you people here, who go to little churches, no matter how small the church is, Jesus said, “If even two or three, were gathered together in His Name, He’d be with them.” What a comforting Words it is to know no—no matter how small our little congregation is, yet the Lord Jesus is with us, and we’re happy for that.

As we walk with the SPIRIT of TRUTH, communing with him and yielding to him, DIVINE TRUTH is ever expanding in us, bringing us to a mature relationship with God.
-
Jesus stated to the disciples, I am going away, but don’t get upset, I am sending one to you who is just like Me, and He is going to teach you somethings, He is going to show you some things, He is going to be so closer to you than I am, because He is going to be in you.
John 14:6 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6 (AMP) 6Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
John 14:17 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:17 (AMP) 17-The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.
- “WE DO NOT need to summon or invite the Holy Spirit as if there is some “outside-in” effect that we must seek. No, the work of the Holy Spirit is an “inside-out” POWER AND PROMISE that TRANSFORMS US FROM GLORY TO GLORY."— Daniel Henderson
John 14:26 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 14:26 (AMP) 26But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
-
The Spirit of Truth is always bringing back to our remembrance the Word of God.
-
One of, if not the key purpose of the Spirit of Truth, and as we walk in communion and yield to the Spirit of Truth, divine truth is expanding in us and we are being changed, being brought to a mature relationship with the Father.

160 But Jesus said, “When He the Spirit of Truth is come, see, He will bring these things that I have taught, to your memory, the Word. And He’ll also show you things to come.” There is the real Spirit-filled Church now, stays with the Word, reflects the Word, God on earth. See? He doesn’t need any theologian, ‘cause His Word is of no private interpretation. He interprets His Own Word, by vindicating It and proving It, It’s the Truth.

177 Watch now as we hurry up through. “When the Spirit of Truth is come, He will teach you all things, whatever I taught you,” oh, my, “bearing all remembrance to you, what I’ve said to you, bringing to you, all remembrance. And He will show you things to come. He will vindicate every Word, confirming the Word with signs following.” Everything that He promised, that God promised in the Bible, if you’ll turn loose from every creed and everything else, and hold onto the Word, God is obligated to take care of His Word. And so when they did this, the Word vindicates Itself.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 17Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty; 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

John 17:17 17Sanctify them by Your Word, Your Word is Truth. (Set them apart by Your Word, for Your Word is Truth)
John 17:17 (AMP) 17Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.
-
Truth is what allows us to grow up—when we don’t behold the Truth we can’t be set apart from the world—Satan’s main weapon is deception and deception is the exact opposite of the Truth.
-
When we first started our walk with God, we didn’t know a lot about the Truth, but as we walk with Him, we understand and know things now we didn’t back then.
-
Truth illuminates and gives us the ability to change!
John 8:31-36 31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye CONTINUE in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.** 33They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
- Continue—To STAY in a given place, state or expectancy, to dwell, remain, be present!
John 8:31-32 (AMP) So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. 32And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.
- TRUTH is the key component to Romans 12:2 and Ephesians 4:22-24—it is by the Truth we can have a renewed mind or be renewed in the spirit of our minds.
Romans 12:2 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2 (AMP) 2Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
Ephesians 4:22-24 22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; ^24^ And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Ephesians 4:22-24 AMP Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; 23And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], 24And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.
-
TRUTH—the quality of being in accord with what is true, truthfulness, dependability, uprightness
-
TRUTH—but not merely truth as spoken; truth of idea, reality, sincerity, truth in the moral sphere, divine truth revealed to man, straightforwardness. True to fact, reality, synonymous for “real-ity” as the opposite of illusion, i.e. fact.
-
ILLUSION-a thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses, a deceptive appearance or impression, a false idea or belief.
-
Truth is the opposite of illusion or deception—The only way the devil can defeat you and I is if we allow him to deceive us.
-
The only thing that exposes the enemies lies is the TRUTH
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:4 (AMP) 4For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
- The devil or the god of this world is trying to stop people from getting a hold of—The Truth—he knows that if the illumination of the Word of God by the Spirit of Truth gets into them, they can be changed.
An Exposition Of The Seven Church Ages
Chapter 3 · The Ephesian Church Age
In the New Testament we find Judas betraying Jesus, while the religious orders of the first century attempted to destroy the early believers. The children of this world, controlled by the devil, hate the children of God who are controlled by the Spirit.
No matter how just and upright a Christian is before the public, and how gracious he is to his fellow man, doing naught but good, let him confess Christ as his Saviour and acknowledge the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in tongues, prophecy, healing and miracles, and he will be condemned. The spirit of this world hates the Spirit of God, and because it can’t overcome the Spirit of the Lord it tries to destroy the vessel in whom the Spirit of Truth dwells.
-
We must fight the enemies of the Truth, routing doubt and unbelief from our minds and hearts to possess that truth for ourselves. That can only be done by continually yielding to the Spirit of Truth within us. (Pickett, p. 87)
-
The process by which the Spirit of Truth works on the inside of us to change us into the image of Christ is a process called REVELATION.
-
It is through this divine learning process that to make revelation a reality that changes our lives. That process results in the UNVEILING OF THE CHRIST WHO IS IN US.
Hebrews 4:12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life, (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
-
The Spirit of Truth reveals to us the things that have kept us from truly knowing who the Lord of Glory is in us—The flesh is revealed, and as the flesh is revealed the Spirit of Truth can transform us into the image of Christ.
-
The Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, Another Helper fills us with the mind of Christ in our minds, His emotions become our emotions, and my will becomes His will, and we become the will of God. (Pickett, p. 87)
The Process of Revelation
How does the Spirit of Truth work in me and change me:
- Information—The FIRST step in the PROCESS Toward REVELATION
Before the Spirit of Truth can bring something to our minds, we must have a basic truth in our mind and heart—We first must hear the Gospel of the Kingdom.
-
Illumination—The process of the information becoming a light in our spirits, we understand some things and we see things differently than we used to. We then have the responsibility to walk in the truth.
-
Inspiration—After the illumination comes, we start to receive things from the Spirit of Truth with joy, the Word fills our hearts and we start walking in the light. (Ephesians 1:17-18)
-
Revelation—The Word of God goes from our head to our hearts. The Word of God becomes more real than anything else. Revelation makes the truth become a living Person to us, and this LIFE He has promised us start mature in us.
-
As we yield or respond to this revelation working in us, we yield our wills, our minds, and our emotions to His divine character of holiness and righteousness, and the life of Christ is unveiled in us. (Pickett, p. 88)
-
Once revelation begins to flow in us, it keeps flowing until we resist it.
-
Realization—When we have the understanding we are being changed—things aren’t the same anymore-I think differently, I act differently, I am not the same person I was before Christ-His life in Me is overwhelming and conforming me to His image. Other people notice the change in me.
-
Transformation—The more truth I allow the Spirit of Truth (Remember He is a PERSON) bring to my mind the more I am changed from glory to glory, becoming a mature son and daughter of God, knowing what is that good, pleasing and perfect will of God.
-
Manifestation—The nature and character of Christ flowing in us and in our lives. Maturity is the beauty of Jesus seen in people who have allowed the Spirit of Truth change the way they think in every area of their soul and spirit. Out of obedience to Christ, we have continually turned from sin and allowed the nature of Christ to be fully unveiled in us.
- NO SPIRIT OF TRUTH REVELATION=NO VISION, NO DIRECTION, NO DESTINY, NO IDENTITY
- REVELATION OF JESUS WILL PROPEL YOU INTO YOUR DESTINY-LUKE 5:4-5, 1 COR. 1:9, 2 COR. 2;9-16, ACTS 23:11)
- THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH- REVELATION REVEALS DIRECTION
- THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH REVELATION REVEALS PURPOSE
- THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH REVELATION REVEALS DESTINY
- THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH REVEALS IDENTITY
- EVERY INCREASE IN FAITH, COMES FROM AN INCREASE IN REVELATION, THAT COMES FROM AND INCREASE IN RELATIONSHIP

10 I just heard Brother Duffield make a statement about some saying this and some saying that. I was standing just in Mrs. McPherson’s room there where she usually waited. I like to go in there and pray, ‘cause I know it’s a little chamber perhaps where she waited and others has waited, as Paul Rader and great people who’s preached in this temple before. Where they’ve waited on the Spirit to know what to say when they come out here… And sometimes your message is changed completely from what you were going to speak on.
But God knows what He’s doing as long as He’s a leading. You see, you must always go by the Spirit, and the Spirit will always agree with the Word. Now, if the Spirit leads you contrary to the Word, then it’s not the Spirit of God. Now, if the Holy Spirit is leading you, It’ll say, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
If it’s a religious spirit, or some other type of spirit that isn’t the Spirit of God, it’ll say, “It was for a day gone by, not now.” How could you make that act right? Because it said He is the same. Oh, I’m so glad to have the Holy Spirit. See?
God seen that beforehand; Jesus said, “I’ll not leave you comfortless, but I’ll pray the Father, and He will send you another Comforter which is the Holy Ghost, and He will abide with you forever. And when He comes He will testify of Me and will show you things to come, even the Spirit of truth, Whom the world cannot receive.” Oh, how happy we are to see that Spirit of truth bearing record with His Word, that it is the Spirit of truth. Then sons and daughters follow It. It’ll stay right in the lids of the Bible and confirm every promise that God made.

53 All right. Has all, everybody come? All…?… All right. What about that woman that’s missing? Did they get in the line?
Now, if you will, sister. Real slow as you can go on the organ, “Only Believe.” Just as low. This is the first night.
Now, with this Bible over my heart, which I cherish to be the Word of the Eternal God… Then if God has promised, that Jesus, His Son, which was God on earth, God made flesh and dwelled among us… I believe that the Spirit of God, through Jesus Christ, promised that He would abide with us forever, the Spirit of truth, Who the world cannot receive.
Did you ever think of what that was? What if you could not believe? That would be the most pitiful thing I ever could think of. ‘Cause, Jesus said, “No man can come to Me except My Father draws him.” God has to draw it.

233 But now that the Seals are opened, the Spirit of Truth directs us to the Word. That explains why all the mistakes has been down through the ages, because the Seals was not opened, This was not revealed. It’s true.
