John 3:1-19 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest , except God be with him. 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and* of* the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you* of* heavenly things? 13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

57 Jesus said, “Ye must be born again.” In order to be born again, it’s letting yourself go and die, and the Spirit of Christ come into you. Then you’re no more yours; it’s Christ in you, see, the Holy Spirit. Paul said, “I die daily; yet I live, not I, but Christ liveth in me.” See, Christ!

28 And here in the audience, and out in the—the land where the tapes will go, there will probably be tens of thousands of born-again Christians hear this. And we know, Father, that when we are born-again, that our spirit is born from Above. It is the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, upon us. And we realize that that Holy Spirit is all-powerful and can do anything for us that we desire to be done. Then, Heavenly Father, we would ask You to release our faith to that Spirit, that It might be able to secure for us this morning, and for the glory of the Kingdom of God, all these requests and desires, that we might be healed of our sicknesses and our afflictions, that we might serve our God with all that’s in us.

Jesus Christ the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever

5 So, therefore, no man could save another. If it would have been so, Jesus would not had to die. But when Jesus died at Calvary, He settled the sin question forever. …The price was paid, completely. It was so met that God identified that it was true.

6 Now, the only thing we have to do, to receive this, is to accept it, to believe it and accept it. But no matter how much that He died for our salvation, we—we must, ourself, accept it as our own personal experience, our—our own desire. We must want to be saved, and believe that upon the basis of His shed Blood that we are saved after we have met the requirements of the Bible.

7 I believe in the Bible being the full revelation of Jesus Christ. Now, I do believe that God can do things that’s not written in the Bible , because He’s God. But as long as we can find it in the Bible, as a promise, then we know it’s true, because the—the Word is true, always. And so we believe Him to keep His promise.

Genesis 17:1-14 1And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 2And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. 3And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, 4As for me, behold, my covenant* is* with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 6And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 8And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. 9And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. 10This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. 11And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. 12And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. 13He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

Debate on Tongues

2 Now, if I was a—a boy, and I was in a, in my—under the tutorship of my father and mother, and you wanted to adopt me, and I gave you my knife. Now, you’ve got my gift but not me. See? Now, tongues is a gift of the Holy Ghost. There’s no Scripture in the Bible that says it is the Holy Ghost. It’s a gift of the Holy Ghost. Now, watch. On Acts 2:38. “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” ‘cause they were marveling, because they heard every man speaking in his own language wherein he was born. See? And He said if you would repent, you would receive that gift of the Holy Ghost.

Now, the gift of William Branham is not William Branham. See? Now, if you’ll notice you say, “Well, the gift of God is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is God.” See how you could…Couldn’t use it there. Well, to everything that I speak of, it must line with the Scripture. I—I won’t receive it. Now, I only receive when He tells me, then He always clears it with the Scripture. If He didn’t, I would not believe it, although as much as He’s told me along the road, still if He ever told me anything wasn’t Scriptural, it would not be right, ‘cause the Scripture is absolutely our basis. We cannot base our—our salvation upon sensations, or experiences of others, or on our own experience. It’s got to be the Word of God (See?), ‘cause that’s the—that’s the true mark.

91 So no man has a right to call himself thus until he’s talked face to face with God, on a backside of a desert somewhere, where he met God, himself. And all the atheists in the world could not explain it away from him; he was there, he know it happened. Every Christian should have that experience before they say anything about being a Christian. Your own experience!

Why?

154 As David duPlessis once said, God don’t have no grandchildren. That’s right. Where our Pentecostal brethren are becoming, their children come into church and just say, “Well, we’re Pentecostal ‘cause papa was.” If papa was a Pentecostal, and got the baptism of the Holy Ghost, you’ll have to get It the same way papa did. He don’t have grandchildren. He just has sons and daughters, not grandsons and granddaughters; just—just sons and daughters. It’s true.

155 So you’ve got to do the same thing they did on the Day of Pentecost. You got to have the same experience. You got to have the same thing that they had. God don’t never change His program. He never changes His ways. He just does the same thing all the time. The way He lays down His program, it must toe to that each time. It’s got to be the same thing. And if you will do the same thing, the same results will come. Amen. That’s right.

7 The reading of the Scriptures, tonight…We have read just a portion of the infallible Word of the Eternal God. And Jesus had just been up braiding them because of their hardness of their heart, because they had not believed him. Then we find, that He, back in the former part of the Scriptures, they’d had—in this same text, or—or chapter, they had called Him, Beelzebub, because He was doing the supernatural signs.

And if anyone knew that God always dwells in supernatural, because God, Himself, is supernatural. And His children, which are His offspring, is the nature of their Father. They also believe in the supernatural. So if they cannot believe in the supernatural, then the Spirit of God is not in them, dominating their life.

And these great cultured men, those days, the priest, and the rabbis, and the Pharisees, which were very highly cultured men, fine, educated scholars, knowed the Word just the letter, and they had to live unspotted lives, ‘cause he that despised Moses law, died under two or three witnesses. And they would be stoned, if they did anything wrong. So they must be a selected group, a scholarly group, an educated group. But God doesn’t dwell in any of that. God dwells in humility, in an honest heart, such as will receive Him. And these men, had just said…

John 1:12 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Romans 8:14 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:19 19For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

1 John 3:1-2 1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

The Law Having a Shadow

54-1203 · Binghamton, New York

28 It’s time to clean out and get a hold of something, or somebody who’s been in contact with the Lord Jesus Christ, and been borned again. You’ll never be able to get them believing the Supernatural, ‘cause there’s nothing in them to believe with. Amen. Now, that’s not skim milk. Look, that’s right. A man must be borned again by the Spirit of God, and then the Spirit of the Creator Himself comes into the individual and claims relationship as sonship. You see it? Then that person is an offspring of God, and God Who spoke the worlds into existence, and this man’s an offspring of Him. He can believe anything. All things are possible unto him, for he believes he’s a part of God. He’s a son of God or a daughter of God. Say, “You believe in Divine healing?” “Certainly, God said so. Yes, sir.” “Do you believe in being born…?” “Sure. Yes, sir, God said so.” They’d believe anything. Anything God says that’s all right, because God’s Word will be made…

29 Any Divine promise in this Bible will come to pass, if you’ll believe it will. The right mental attitude towards any Divine promise will bring it to pass. Notice, then how are we ever going to get to Heaven? I want to ask you tonight if you only belong to church here, if you’ve never really been borned again, I want to ask you how you going to Heaven and the Bible said you must be perfect? And the law testified of perfection. The law having a shadow could never make the believer perfect. Then how you going to be perfect?]

We Have Found Him, Come and See

14 If it hadn’t…If you haven’t been with the Mate Jesus Christ and been borned of an supernatural, you can’t believe the supernatural. And when a man’s born of the Spirit of God, God’s a Creator. And when part of God is…I’m a part of Charles Branham. He’s my father. He looked like me, or I look like him, rather. We’re about the same size. And a whole lot of features, because I’m an offspring of his. And if I become an offspring of God in my soul, then my soul is liken something on the order of God. It believes the supernatural. It believes for anything. See what I mean?

“Believeth all things, hopeth all things.” See? All right. Then if a man’s ever been in contact with God and really been borned again, you talk to him about Divine healing, sure he believes it. Certainly. “Do you believe in miracles?”

“Sure.” See? He’s a part of God; He believes anything can happen with God. See? And he’s not superstitious.

Go, Tell My Disciples

53-0405 · Jeffersonville, Indiana

170 I have man, everywhere across the country, sometimes criticizing me about Divine healing. Why, my brother, how could I keep from believing in Divine healing, when it’s the very nature of the Holy Spirit. Every man that’s born of the Spirit of God will have to believe in the supernatural, because he is a part of God, he is an offspring of God.

171 I say, “You look like your daddy.” Say, “You got a nose like…” Tell me I got a nose like dad; I got a mouth like dad. Why? He’s my father. I got a right to look like him.

172 Hallelujah! Then, if God is my Father, I’ve got a right to believe in the supernatural, because I’m born of the supernatural Spirit. That makes a supernatural being out of me. Inward, outwardly, I am—I’m a man of clay; you’re a man of clay. But inwardly, when you are born of the Spirit of God, you become a supernatural being in there, and that supernatural being hungers and thirsts for its Heavenly Home, yonder. That’s right. Amen. Notice it.

Broken Cisterns

64-0726 · Jeffersonville, Indiana

132 Now in closing, I might say this. Anything different from This is broken cisterns, and will finally leak out what you put in it; if you’re putting all your hopes, all your time, and everything, in one of those stagnated cisterns. Jesus said they were broken cisterns. God said, “They’re broken, and they’ll leak out everwhat you put in them.” You can’t go any farther with them, ‘cause they’ll leak out. For He is the only way to the Truth, to the Life, and to Eternal joy, and Eternal peace. He is the only One and the only way to That. Oh, my!

133 The inexhaustible Fountain of Life is Jesus Christ. Why? And Who is He? The Word, the same; the Word, the Life, the Fountain, “the same yesterday, today, and forever.” The true believer, It’s his supreme joy, his supreme Life. And his supreme satisfaction is in Christ. No pumping, no pulling, no joining, no bailing; just believing and resting. That’s what He is to the believing.

134 Like father Abraham; he never pulled, he never fretted, he never worried. He had the Word. He laid upon El Shaddai’s breast. When Abraham was a hundred years old, God appeared to him, and said, “I am the Almighty.” The Hebrew word is El Shaddai, means, “the Breasted-One.” “And you are old, and your strength is gone, but just lay upon My bosom and nurse your strength from this Fountain.” Amen! What did he nurse himself to? A new body. He had the baby, by Sarah. And, fifty years later, had seven children by another woman.

From That Time

60-0716 · Klamath Falls, Oregon

121 What an encouragement to an old man, a hundred years old, as good as dead, and the womb’s of Sarah, already closed when she was born sterile. And what a—a message: “I am your strength Giver; I am El Shaddai. You’re a hundred years old, but you’re just a baby to Me. Lay up here in My arms, and take a hold of My promise; and just don’t see nothing else but the promise. Then what can you do? As the whiskers get old, as the hair turns gray, you can still nurse and be satisfied that I’ll keep My Word.”

122 The doctor can say, “You’re getting worse and worse.” That don’t have one faze to you. You’re still nursing from the—the breast of El Shaddai. “God, You spoke into my heart; You give me the promise. All devils out of hell can’t take it away from me. I’m satisfied I’ll be well. I’m nursing from El Shaddai.” Amen. I tell you, brother, that takes the wishbone out and puts a backbone in there, certainly does, when you get a hold of God.

Abraham’s Covenant Confirmed

191 And after Abraham had come through that big test and had this son, of Ishmael, which was…absolutely, God told him to listen to Sarah. But he brought forth this son, after that great test. Then He met him and—and the 17th chapter of Genesis, mark it down and read it when you get home, haven’t got time to strike it but just a moment. He appeared to him in the Name of Almighty God. “Almighty” comes from the Hebrew word of El Shaddai. Shaddai, Shad means “a woman’s breast.” Shaddai is a plural, two. Then He appeared to him, “I am the breasted God.”

192 Oh, what a consolation to an old man. “How am I going to have this baby, Lord? I’m a hundred years old.” He was ninety and nine. So he said, “How me, an old man, and my woman here—here that You told me I was going to have the baby by, she’s ninety and I, or, eighty-nine, she’d be, and I’m ninety and nine. How can…”

193 “But I am the breasted One,” both New and Old Testament. “I was wounded for your transgressions; with My stripes you were healed.” Oh, the breasted One. What is the breast for? For the fretting baby. You take the little baby that’s sick and fretting, the mother picks it up, puts it upon her bosom. It nurses the mother’s strength, nursing itself back to health.

354. Do your children have to have an experience to have the Holy Spirit? If the—if—if they see the end-time Message, do they have the Holy Spirit?

218 Every one must have an experience! Your children cannot go in on no other way but the same way you do. See? They’ve got to be borned again. There’s no grandchildren in the Kingdom of God; they’re all children. They must have it, must have an experience with God to go in, just the same as you. Now I hope I can get this. It’s…

Expectations

118 “Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God.” David duPlessis once said about that, about sons of God, “Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God (You all believe that, don’t you? “Sons, children of God are led by the Spirit of God.”), now, the trouble of it is, the church today,” he said, “we got too many grandsons, but God don’t have any grandchildren.”

119 Now, you Methodists, pick up just a minute. I want to take your coat down. If we still had Methodist sons and daughters of God it would be fine. If we had Baptist sons and daughters of God, it’s fine; Lutheran, Nazarene, Pilgrim Holiness, or Pentecost. But just as the rest of them did, so are we in the Pentecostals. We’re taking our children and bringing them into the church, because we was in there, making them members of the Pentecostal church; that’s grandchildren!

120 God don’t have grandchildren! That same son or daughter must pay the same price we did, and receive the Holy Ghost the same as we do. There are no grandchildren. God don’t take them in by…like that. There are sons and daughters. There’s no grandchildren, God don’t have any. No such a thing with God.

121 Well, say, “I belong to the Methodist church. My mother belonged there.” That’s a grandchild! God don’t have it! You’re—you’re a grandchild to the Methodist church, you’re a grandchild to the Pentecostal church, but God don’t have any grandchildren. Every man and woman has to be borned again individually, sons and daughters of God. That’s what makes them full of Spirit and full of life.

122 It’s coming springtime. After a while all the little birdies down here get out in them cactus tops and bushes out there, build them a nest. An old mother bird can build her a nice little nest and make it so cozy for her babies, lay a nest full of eggs. And she can set there over those eggs, and so loyal, and turn them just so much, and get so hungry, and she’ll starve herself, she’s so poor she can’t fly off the nest. If that mother bird hasn’t been with the mate, them eggs will never hatch. That’s right. They’re not fertile. The bloodstream comes from the male sex, the hemoglobin. That’s true. The woman only produces the egg, the female, but the male is where the fertile comes.

123 That’s what’s the matter with our churches today. Our Pentecostal people…(Not saying nothing against this wonderful church and your wonderful pastor. I met him, I know what he believes.) But today we get bigger churches than we ever had and our faith’s getting lower. What’s the matter? See, we’re bringing in members, grandchildren. What we need, brother, not…

124 That old bird, as I say, she could sit on there, that nest, until she was so poor she couldn’t fly from it. But if she hasn’t been with the mate, what will them eggs do? They’ll lay right there and rot. You know that by your chickens. They’ll lay there and rot.

125 There’s only one thing to do, brother: clean out the nest. That’s right. That’s what our Pentecostal movements needs today is a nest-cleaning time. Get the rotten eggs out of the nest. Bringing in members, and making them deacons and so forth, and patting them on the back because they pay a little heavy in the church; know no more about God than a Hottentot does about Egyptian night. That’s right. What we need is a borned-again experience, with back to the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with real genuine Pentecostal faith in the chur-…in God, exercising in our church. That brings something that you’re led by the Holy Spirit. When the Word speaks, you say “amen” to It, and you believe It. Simeon moved by the Holy Spirit, and there he had the Promise.

99 Jesus wants fruit, for Himself. His Wife must produce the kind of children that He is. So, if it does not produce children, Bride children, children of the Word, then it is denominational child. So, her first love is for the world and the denomination, and she will have returned to that. And it cannot produce a true genuine born again Christian because there is nothing there to produce it.

Conferences with God

27 A lot of people that’s half-born, part of the way born…Grandsons, as David duPlessis said the other night, “God don’t have grandchildren. He only has sons and daughters.” But when it comes to a place that a grandchild, that’s just brought in by a—‘cause his mother was pentecostal or his daddy was pentecostal he becomes part of the church…No, sir. He’s got to be born just like his daddy was, ‘cause God doesn’t have grandchildren. He’s got to have the experience. He can’t go in on papa’s experience or mama’s experience; you’ve got to have your own experience. That was their birth. You know, you have to have a birth, too. God don’t recognize grandchildren; He doesn’t have any. They’re all sons and daughters. You say, “Well, I was borned…And my mother and father was Methodist, and I was took into the Methodist church.” That’s all right. But you’re a grandchild until you’re borned of the Spirit of God; then you’re not a grandchild.

28 Now, God remembered His promise, and had sent Moses. And they had led the children up to this place. And right in the line of duty, of leading the children of Israel, obstacle come in the way. You, on the outside tonight, many of you is sick. Maybe you’re real servants of Christ and you’ve did what was right, the best of your knowledge, but a cancer crossed your path, tumor, blindness, deafness, crippled, something crossed your path in the line of duty. Then it’s time to call a conference. It’s time to do something about it. Moses goes over behind a rock, and he stayed there till he got marching orders. “What are you going to do, fall back on Pharaoh?” He said, “Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward.” That’s God’s—God’s army always marches forward; there’s no retreat in it at all. No retreats in God’s army; He doesn’t have such. We go forward.

What it Takes to Overcome All Unbelief: Our Faith

15 First is apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, pastors, those five God-given gifts in the church. So each of you people, who has a godly pastor, has a gift from God in your church, a shepherd. “Pastor” means “a shepherd,” to watch over the flock, to teach them the Word of God.

Then these other nine different spiritual gifts should be operating in the church to keep the church clean. Like the Ananias and Sapphiras and so forth, the Spirit of God rise up and call somebody out and tell them they’re living wrong, and—and rebuke that sin openly, and that’s what the Holy Spirit is in the church for, to keep the church clean and ready for the coming of the Lord. We believe that.

11 Now, as a preacher, I’m not very much of a preacher. But the Lord has given a gift, a Divine gift. Which in the Scriptures we’re taught that gifts and callings are without repentance. That’s church gifts, not the church, the gifts in the local church which we’re to pray for, like First Corinthians 12. But there’s five ministering gifts which are—are the foreknowledge of God. And the first of those are apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, and pastors. Those are God sent gifts to the church.

Apostles or missionaries…We call them “missionary” today. In the early day they called them “apostle.” Now, anyone knows—knows that the word “apostle” means “one sent.” And the word “missionary” means “one sent.” So it’s both the same thing. Missionaries, prophets, teachers, evangelists, pastors.

Then in every local church there’s nine spiritual gifts should be operating in that church, if they’re a good praying congregation. And then the pastor who should be the head of the church with the wisdom of God to have that church set in order so no fanaticism, no nothing takes place wrong, just everything proven purely the Spirit of the Holy Ghost working among the people, then you got a real church that’s an example church to all the regions around about. It’s like a—a hive where the bees come, a lovely church.

And I pray that God will bless each one of these men here and give them, if they haven’t already got it, that type of church at the ending of the service. God bless you.
