Mark 16:15-18 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Hebrews 10:25-29 25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
The Token

90 Watch how He did now. He prepared first a sign, a messenger, identified message, identification of the messenger, and a token for the assurance that the way was paid. They are headed for the promised land.
91 The same thing He has done today! What did He do? He sent us the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the Messenger, and the Scriptural identification of Himself identifies Him among us, the same yesterday, today, and forever. And the Token is the assurance. What are we scared about? Our fare is already paid and we are identified with our Sacrifice. He can’t turn you down. He promised that. We’re identified.
92 Israel coming out of Egypt, as I said, is like the—the Bride coming out of the church. When Moses begin his ministry, Israel all gathered together in Goshen, for prayer and worship, exactly, come from all parts of the Egypt. That’s the way the Bride will do, it’ll come out of all of the Oneness, Twoness, Threeness, and all other kinds. It’ll come out. It’s got to. Now we read here in Hebrews the…We now, the first thing we must think of, come from all parts, “Come out from amongst unbelief.” Now the Holy Spirit promised to call that in the last days, “Come out from among the unbelievers.” Notice.
93 We find out in Hebrews 10:26, I got wrote down here, it says this, “If we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the Truth, there is no more sacrifice for sin,” see, if you disbelieve wilfully.
94 Now if you’ll notice, what may I say here, if you’ll spare me a moment till I make that illustration. I could feel in the Spirit, didn’t go over right. See? Notice.
95 Here is Hebrews, they’re on their road out. God chose twelve man, or Moses did, by the hand of God, to go over and spy out the land; and come back, bring back a token of the land. And when they got there, ten of them was scared to death. “Why,” they said, “them Amalekites up there, we look like grasshoppers to them.” Joshua and Caleb come back, bringing the evidence, “We can do it!”
96 You see, that’s borderline believers. They come through these different elements, and through church, and joining church, and baptisms and forms. But when it comes right up to crossing over to get the Token, the evidence that the Land is there, that Life…Jesus Christ is not dead. It’s another dimension. He lives in it. He is with us, He is now in us. When it comes to that, “ah,” they couldn’t believe that. That was too much, you see. And they come back, and they, every one, died in the wilderness, not one of them went over. And, see, if we disbelieve, we Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterian!
98 And looky, in here, now, if we…if—if we come up to that borderland, say, “Well then, glory to God, I spoke in tongues, hallelujah!” That’s not it. If you can say, disbelieve any of that Word, there is something wrong with your experience. See?
99 You come right up to the Land and see it’s there. You see that Jesus has raised. He is among us. You hear the Word that follows the message, and still don’t believe It, you know what happens? Then they died right in the wilderness. “If we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the Truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin.” That’s what the Book of Hebrews tells us.
100 And now watch, as we see the great end-time signs in the earth, that He promised, how much more it’s warning us that the time is at hand. Quit unbelieving. Come together. We should love each other and believe, and separate ourselves from the world.
101 Notice, they were not to just come together and talk about the message. They were to get into it, get under the blood. Not come say, “You know, Moses told us. The messenger, he said, he told us that we should have blood. What do you think about it, boys?” That wasn’t it. Get the lamb killed, and get the blood up there!
102 We can come and sit and agree with the Word, and everything else, but don’t have that Token, what good does it do us? No good. Get beneath It. He was not responsible for anyone out from under that blood. And He is not responsible for anybody, today, out from under the Token.
103 The whole family, only safe when they were under the token, and the token was displayed. The entire family! Do you believe that? [Congregation says, “Amen."—Ed.] Today we ought to remember that, people. Our children!
Hebrews 6:1-6 1Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3And this will we do, if God permit. 4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

179 “He that sins wilfully after receiving the knowledge of the Truth, there’s no more sacrifice.”
180 Now, and there is where you’ll rise up again, say, “How about that, Brother Branham?”
181 But just remember, see, “who have received the knowledge of the Truth.” They never received the Truth, they just received the knowledge of It. See? It’s impossible for those who had once enlightened, made partakers of Holy Ghost, tasted the power of the good Word. Like them borderline believers back there. So many has wrote me letters on that.
182 Those borderline believers walked right up there, Joshua and Caleb went right over there. Why? Now we’re going to call that the Holy Ghost, the land out there. Here they are back here. Or up here, say this is the Holy Ghost, and they’re back out here, you see. There’s where the promise is, is there. “‘Well, if they’d send out ten spies, one out of each tribe, so that all of us tribes can know what our inheritance is, where all will be placed over there, where we’ll be placed.’ So, I’m going to send out some spies.”
183 They all got over there, “Oh, my! No. We’d be called holy-rollers, from then on. No, huh-uh, we couldn’t do that.” See?
184 Joshua and Caleb said, “I’ll see what it looks like.” So they come over here and looked all around. My, they reached up there and cut off a big cluster of was their grapes and come back down. Said, “Boy, she’s fine, she’s just fine! Here, take some of them, they’re really good!”
185 “Oh, that’s good, but, oh, look at those big…Oh, we couldn’t do it. Stand against all them big denominations, all those big things? Oh, it’s too bad, we can’t do it. No, sir! No matter who it is, we won’t. No, sir.” And they begin to say, “Oh, let’s go back to the fleshpots of Egypt. We might as well have stayed down there. We can’t do it, this road is too strait. We know we can’t do this, we can’t do that.”
186 Old Caleb said, “Stay still, all of you!” Joshua said, “Shut up, every one of you! Let me say something.”
187 “Oh, alas, alas, alas, we can’t do it! Oh, we couldn’t. Well, if I had to quit my card party, Brother Branham! If I have to let my hair grow out like some old woman, I just don’t know what I’d do. If I have to take my little shorts off, I—I—I, my, I just couldn’t, you know. And if I’d to give up my cigars, if I had to do that!” You poor deliberate example. Yes. “Just can’t do it.”
188 Joshua said, “Oh, it’s good. Hallelujah! We can take it.” What was it? They were looking at the big cities that were walled up. And Joshua and Caleb was looking at a promise God made. Stay with the Word, no matter who you are. Stay with the Word!
189 For Peter said, “Repent, every one of you, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for remission of your sins, for the promise is unto you,” (what promised Land?) “and to your children, and for them that’s far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
190 Don’t let this hurt, closing, please don’t. See? There you Pilgrim Holiness and Nazarenes, you come right into sanctification, walked right up here to the spot to where you even could see the grapes, and then turned and went back. See what’s happened? That’s what’s the matter, you never walked over into the land. Show me one Nazarene or Pilgrim Holiness, or any of them on the grounds today, having great healing campaigns with signs and wonders done. Show me one. You’ve settled down with Egypt, went back to the garlic pots. You stopped at Kadesh-barnea. That’s right.
191 Watch, and let me give you your spot, in Hebrews the 6th chapter. “For it is impossible for those which were once enlightened,” you knowed better. If you don’t, you know it now. See? “And was made partakers, and tasted the Heavenly gifts.”
192 Tasted, see. People go to church, and sit around and say, “You know, they—they could be right. That—that—that could be right. It could be just the same, but I tell you, boy, it takes a lot of faith to do that.”
193 “Taste the Heavenly gifts, and has counted the Blood of the covenant an ‘unholy thing,’ which you was sanctified.”
194 Like a preacher, his mother sends him away. He says, “I got a calling to be a servant of the Lord.”
195 “All right. The first thing I have to do is wash over a board, honey, and I’m going to send you away to some school.” The worst thing she ever done. That’s right. They’ll take all out of him that God trying to put in him. Then, now watch.
196 “For if we sin wilfully, wilfully sin after we have received the knowledge of the Truth, the knowledge. See it in the Scripture and know that the Bible says He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. See That, it’s the knowledge of the Truth. To see it, we turn away, and count the Blood of the covenant…”
197 A man say, “Oh, yes, I believe in—in God.” All right, you make the first step.
198 “Sure, I believe in sanctification.” All right, you’re on the borderline, right up here ready to receive the Holy Ghost. But you look over and say, “I—I—I don’t know about that. If I’d have to act like…No. I don’t know. You know what they call them people? Uh-huh, I don’t know whether I could do that or not. No, I believe I’ll just go on and join…?…” See? See?
199 And you know what happens? He said, “It’s impossible for them to ever enter in.” They have sinned away their day of grace. The Bible said so. I know that’s rough, but the Bible said, “Have tasted the Heavenly gifts, and counted the Blood of the covenant wherewith…”
200 They say, “I believe in sanctification, a good, clean, holy life.”
201 Sure, but you, when you seen the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and the baptism and all these other things in the Bible, and you have done what? You’ve counted the Blood of the covenant wherewith you were sanctified, an “unholy thing.” What in the world brought you up there, man? What…?…What kept you from being a low-down sinner? What took sin out of your life, and smoking and drinking, and women and things out of your life, that shouldn’t been there? What did that? The Blood of the covenant! Then you come up close enough to taste the grapes from the other Land, and ashamed of the Gospel, afraid of your denomination! God have mercy! Yes, sir. “Counted the Blood of the covenant an ‘unholy thing,’ and done despite to the works of grace. It’s impossible for him to ever enter into the Land.”
202 What happened? I ask you. Now, I’m a typologist, and any man that knows the Bible is a typologist. Did one of those men ever hit that promised land? Not one of them. Who done it, who went over there? Those who went first, come back and said, “We can take it, we can have the Holy Ghost ‘cause God said so! Peter said on the Day of Pentecost, if I’d ‘repent and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ,’ I should receive the Holy Ghost, the promise is to me. I’m willing to do it. Mine, the promise is mine.” You get it? “Now the promise is mine. I receive it, it’s mine. Sure it is.” They was the only ones.
206 He said, “Well, our fathers eat manna in the wilderness for forty years. God rained bread right down out of Heaven and fed them. They went to church and they were good church members for forty years. My old Mama died right in this church,” and everything like that. “My fathers eat manna in the wilderness for forty years.”
207 And Jesus said, “And they’re every one dead.” Dead means “the Eternal separation.” “They’re every one dead. But I say unto you, that I am the Bread of Life that come from God out of Heaven. A man eats this Bread of the Spirit, he’s got Eternal Life and he can’t perish. And I’ll raise him up in the last day.” Oh, brother, isn’t He wonderful? Isn’t He wonderful, wonderful, wonderful? Isn’t Jesus our Lord wonderful? Eyes have seen, ears have heard, what’s recorded in God’s Word; Isn’t Jesus our Lord wonderful?
208 Is that right? We see His discerning Spirit going through our midst. We see Him performing miracles and signs and wonders. We hear It written right out of the Word here, you see It confirmed right out there. Oh, my! Eyes have seen, ears have heard, what’s recorded in God’s Word; Isn’t Jesus my Lord wonderful?
Numbers 13:1-3 1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them. 3And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
Numbers 13:7-20 7And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: 18And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; 19And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; 20And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
Numbers 13:23-33 23And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs. 24The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence. 25And they returned from searching of the land after forty days. 26And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land. 27And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. 28Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. 29The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan. 30And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. 31But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. 32And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. 33And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Numbers 14:1-12 1And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. 2And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! 3And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? 4And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt. 5Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. 6And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: 7And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. 8If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. 9Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not. 10But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel. 11And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them? 12I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.
Numbers 14:19–34 19Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now. 20And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word: 21But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD. 22Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; 23Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: 24But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. 25(Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea. 26And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 27How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. 28Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: 29Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me, 30Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. 31But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. 32But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness. 33And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. 34After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

148 Like the spies on the road to the promised land. They was in an exodus, coming out of Egypt, come out by a promised Word of God. God made His Word known by a prophet, Moses, sent him down there. He was identified that He was the God to bring him out under the conditions that He’d promised to, the “I AM.”
149 When they come to the borderland, Kadesh-barnea, the great mistake they made, when they got to the land and looked over into the promised land, they said, “We can’t take it.” What was the other ten? They looked at the circumstances, the prestige they would lose. “We are grasshoppers, to the side of them.”
150 But Joshua and Caleb checked up. They went back to the Word, and the Lord said, “I give you this land! It’s a good land, flowing with milk and honey.” They didn’t count what it looked like, what this was, and what this evidence was. God’s Word said, “I give it to you! Go get it!” And they were the only ones that went in.
151 Oh, let us check the promises of God for today. That’s right. Remember, we’re in another exodus, a time; an exodus, this time, not into a promised land of the earth, but into the promised Land of Glory, where there is no return no more. Glory to God, we’re going to be there! [Blank spot on tape—Ed.] Will you do it, while we bow our heads?

68 Just like it says over there, many gets turned up in that Hebrews there. See? “If we sin wilfully after we receive the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.” Take a mother like…Someone asked me, “What does that mean? If we sin wilfully after we receive the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth—remaineth no more sacrifice for sin.” Well, he hasn’t never got into it yet. That’s right. He just received the knowledge of it. Just like in Israel, when Israel started to cross going into the promised land, they sent the spies out. Two of them come back, said, “We can take it,” Joshua and Caleb. The other ones said, “No, we can’t do it. So they hung right there on the border until they died. And the ones believed the promise went over in. Like a woman…A boy gets a call in his life; he said, “Well, mama washed over the washboard to send me to school. I want to be a minister.” All right, and he becomes a minister. He goes away and gets his Ph.D., or his doctor degree, or whatever he—he gets, and he comes back, his Bachelor of Art, or whatever. He comes back, anyhow he’s a minister. Then he’s always lusting and things in his church, the ladies, and the different things. Maybe he smokes, and he knows he oughtn’t do that. Say, “God, that don’t look good for a man of God. Then take that thing away from me.” He’s sanctified. He comes right up to the borderland again, looks right over and sees the baptism of the Holy Ghost, but he says, “If I do, the denomination will throw me out.” Go on back and die in the borderland then if you want to.
69 “He that sins…” What is sin? Unbelief. I want somebody to tell me one definition of sin besides unbelief. “He that believeth not is condemned already.” That’s right. “He that…” You don’t even get the first…What if…Committing adultery is not a sin. Smoking cigarettes and drinking is not a sin; that’s the attributes of unbelief. If you was a believer you wouldn’t do that. See? That’s right. That’s exactly right. See, there it is, unbelief. What is it? “If we disbelieve wilfully,” that’s you out here tonight Presbyterian, Methodist, or you without the Holy Ghost. “If we disbelieve wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin.” You turn your back on God; what do you do then? Seal yourself away, and take the mark of the beast, and go off like Cain did, from the Presence of God. That’s shaking, isn’t it. **Come right up to the borderline, and then don’t believe it…**You believe it, but you’re scared to take it. “He that sins wilfully (disbelieves wilfully) after he’s received the knowledge of the truth…” Re…Quote that with me, “He that sins wilfully after he has received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin. But a fearful looking for the ju—fiery judgment and—and ‘I will repay,’ saith the Lord.” It’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
70 After it’s brought right up to you and showed you that is the seal of God, and just because of prestige, you’d have to give up something, or quit your denomination, or—or something to receive it, and then walk away from it, you know what you do? You seal yourself out of the Kingdom: mark of the beast. When God told Abel, or told Cain, said, “Just go over and worship like your brother. Bring a lamb, come down here and worship like your brother,” said, “you’ll do all right. Do as your brother does, you’d be all right.” But he wouldn’t do it, said, “This is the best I can offer. You can take it or leave it.” And he was marked and went out of the Presence of God.
Why?

29 Reminds me like in…Someone asked me the question the other night about Hebrews 10, where they who wilfully have sinned, wilfully, and have to renew themselves unto repentance. Why, there’s nothing left for them, but the fearful looking for the judgment. “He that despise Moses’ law, died under two or three witnesses. How much sorer punishment, suppose though worthy, who has trod the Blood of Jesus Christ under their feet, and counted It an unholy thing, done despite to the works of grace…” I said, “You read over in Deuteronomy 14, where that those spies, Israelites, went with Caleb and Joshua right up to the borderland, and they tasted the grapes that come from the land. But when they went back, they were unbelieving and cowards, said, ‘Oh, we can’t take it; it’s too much for us. Oh, they look like grasshoppers, we do, up beside of them. The cities are all walled in. We cannot take it.’ But Caleb stilled them, and Joshua, said, ‘We can take it. We’re more than able. Yet, we being the minority, but we can take it.’ Why? Those spies was looking at conditions, what the price they’d have to pay, but Caleb and Joshua was looking at a promise of God. God said, ‘I have given you that land, go possess it.’”
30 Glory. The Holy Ghost is for whosoever’s called to this wedding supper. I don’t care what price you have to pay, go get it. God said it’s yours. If you don’t get it, then He’s going to ask you, “Why didn’t you get it? Why? It was there for you.” If they didn’t possess the land, why? “There was too many against us.” He said, “Well, if God said, ‘If I’m for you, who could be against you?’” It’s there. What’s the matter? There’s something wrong with the individual. Now, now, watch. He said, “Many…”
31 You take a young minister feels the call of God in his heart. He will repent of his sins, go off to school and get his education, which is fine. He will come back, and he will still smoke cigarettes, maybe. Maybe, he’s still got a lustful spirit, and he will say, “Oh, I don’t want that, Lord, take it away from me.” The Spirit of God will come and sanctify his soul, and take that desire away from him. Then he will be brought right up to the borderline, set right in the meetings, and watch the working of the Holy Spirit, see others get healed, hear them speak with tongues, and see signs and wonders done. They’ll set around and watch it, but afraid to put their hand on it. That’s that borderline believer; that’s the fellow, if ever turns away, there’s no more remission for him. Stand right up here, and even look over into the land, who’s received the knowledge of the truth, had a knowledge of the truth, knowed that that was right, but because of prestige, “Well, if I do this, it’ll do this. And if I accept that, it’ll do this.” See? They refuse it, walk away from it. And he said, “And count the Blood of the Covenant, wherewith he was sanctified,” that far to bring him up on a step to look over into and have a knowledge of it. He was saved and sanctified, but comes up here to look over to receive the Holy Ghost, that new birth, he wants nothing to do with it. He will say, “Oh, I guess that’s all right for them kind of people, but me, oh, it’s all right, but I will someday.” Now, there’s the trouble, that man is sick and don’t want to take the doctor’s medicine.

65 God said, “These signs shall follow them that believe; lay hands on the sick, they shall recover.” “It’s a good land,” said Joshua. “It’s a wonderful land.” Joshua, you and Caleb, aren’t you glad that this is a wonderful land? I am. Amen. Joshua and Caleb brought back some initial evidence that they’d been over there somewhere. I’m so glad tonight that we’ve got witnesses in the Church tonight, that’s been somewhere, that’s got something, that’s come back with the evidence that the Holy Ghost is just the same tonight as It was the day It fell on Pentecost. Hallelujah. Make your choice. Are you going to stand with the theologian that says, “Well, we just can’t take it. We come through the Wesley age; we come through this, but we can never stand another fanaticism; we could never stand it.” Away with such stuff. God said Jesus rose from the dead. He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. We can take it; it’s ours; we’re able. Glory. Hallelujah. What we need tonight is do it. Hallelujah. It’s yours. The promise is unto you, and to your children, and them in Chicago, and as many as the Lord our God shall call. Freedom of choice. To me He’s the same. To me He will keep His promise. To me He was wounded for my transgression; He was bruised for my iniquity. The chastisement of my peace was upon Him. With His stripes I’m healed. Hallelujah.
66 I believe. Hallelujah. Do you believe it? It’s your choice now. We’re at the borderland. We’ve come through many dangerous toils and snares. I have already come. It was grace that brought me safe thus far, following the blessed old Bible. It’s grace that’ll take me on. Amen. The promise, we’re on the borderland tonight. The Bible said, “I would above all things you prosper in health.” It’s yours. God promised it. And the promise to you is just as good as it was to Israel. He said, “I have given you that land. I will send My angel, this Pillar of Fire, before you to guide you to the place.” Divine healing’s yours, God promised it to you. He sent the Holy Ghost, has guided you to this place. Let’s take it. Amen, it’s ours.
67 Same God made the promise to Israel made it to you, and He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. Sends the same signs, wonders and miracles. Now, He ain’t going to come just push it down you. You’re going to have to take it. And as soon as you claim it, there’ll stand an old Amorite standing there; kick him out of the way. Old guy say, “Now, wait a minute; you’re excited.” That’s an old person. Now, kick him out of the way. If you pick up a little baby and he says…“Well,” your mammy says, “Well, he’s awful cute, I wo-…” He will be like his daddy. Kick him out of the way. The land belongs to you. “Well, Doctor So-and-so can pray such a pretty prayer.” That don’t make any difference, God give you the promise. If the unbeliever is against God’s Word, kick it out of the way. The promise is yours. Hallelujah.
68 Don’t care how innocent and pretty it looks, you might have steeples, and shrines, and say, “ah-man.” like a dying calf, but that don’t change God’s Word. God said we could take it. It’s yours. The promise is ours. Hallelujah. Oh, I feel religious, my. Know that the Holy Ghost is here. The same Pillar of Fire that led the children through that wilderness and went with them to the promised land, here He is with us tonight, even had His picture taken all over and over, showing the same signs and wonders. What are we scared about? By faith. Don’t care, I feel like Caleb, let me have that bunch over yonder. Amen.
69 They said, “Oh, why they’re so much bigger.” That don’t make any difference. Goliath boiled out his big brag too, but he met a David one day too. Amen. The devil’s done said, “The days of miracles is past.” and got into the preachers and preached that all through the country, but there rose up a David not long ago. Amen. Got his head chopped off now, and I’m telling you that Israelite army’s a beating it from north to west, east, south, everywhere else around the world great healing campaigns proving that Jesus raised from the dead and is a Healer. Hallelujah. The Holy Ghost is our David. Amen. He’s a leader of this pack; we believe Him. Let us talk to Him a minute with our heads bowed.

71 Perfect of the church today, in our journeys. We’re journeying up, till, I believe that the church is standing today at Kadesh-barnea, judgment! Now, God help me. I hope God will help me to get this, it’ll sink in good and deep.
72 Sending out exploits. Remember, they had come this far because God had promised them. And all along the line, they had signs and wonders and miracles, and now they’re right up to the borderland.
73 And I believe we’re on the borderland tonight. I was wondering about all my meetings and things, how I had to cancel them out. I truly believe, before the Church can have the Rapture, it’s got to have rapturing faith. We can’t even have faith for Divine healing, let alone rapturing faith. Got to have a faith that’ll change and quicken this body, and be taken away. I believe there’s a Church on its road tonight, a power of the living God, that men will speak the Word here and there, and it’ll flash like lightning. And a Church is coming out; not a psychologist, not some of this put-on, make-belief; but a real, true, genuine, anointed, Holy Ghost, called-out Church! Amen.
74 Here they are, standing at Kadesh-barnea. They said, “Go over. The land was given to us hundreds of years ago, by God, through our father. We are the seed of Abraham. God has led us safely this forty-some-odd miles from Egypt, up to the borderland at Kadesh.” They had got up there in a few days, but, remember, because of their unbelief, made them wander for forty years.
75 Unbelief! Notice, the church I’m speaking of, parabolic speaking. What the Old was, the New is, in a more magnified way. What the natural was, the spiritual is.
76 Now, Kadesh. And there he said, “Now you go out, and spy out.” God sent them; Moses never. God sent them over, and said, “Go over and spy out the land, and come back and tell us whether it’s a good land or a bad land, or whether we can take it, or what this, that, or the other. You go over and find out.”
77 And twelve went over. They cut a great cluster of grapes. You know about the harlot Rahab, and so forth. All right. They went over and cut this cluster of grapes, and returned back. But listen at the report, twelve men!
78 And ten out of the twelve said, “Oh, they are a fearful people.” Look over here, what a—what a sight! Listen to this. When we turn over now to the 17th verse, or the 27th verse, rather, to read. Goes ahead and tells there the men that was sent out. And when they returned back, their hearts were fainting, they said, “Oh, they’re great men!” Listen here. And they told them, and said, We come into the land wherewith thou sent us, and surely it flows with milk and honey; and it is a fruit…the fruit of it. (Just as God promised. Now notice.) Nevertheless the people are strong and dwell in the land, and dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great:…moreover we saw…children of Anak there. And the Amalekites dwell in the land…and the Hittites,…the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell at the sea, or, the coast of Jordan. And Caleb, (hallelujah), Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
79 Ah, I like that! My! Just a little farther. But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go…against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched out for the children of Israel, saying, The land,…which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men…great stature.
80 Listen to that! And it goes on to say, that, “We look like grasshoppers, up the side of them.” That’s the report.
81 But Caleb and Joshua said, “We can take it! We are able to do it.” Why are they able to do it? God had promised them to do it. I like that courage.
82 Ten of them. Now the church came. And it’s come now to a place to where we’ve come down through the Luther Age, the Methodist Age, and the Pentecostal Age, and on down to a place. And now some of the full Gospel people turned firmly against Divine healing, believe that it wasn’t even in the atonement. Well, it’s got to a place, friends, where you…It’s getting horrible out here. “Old-time religion,” they say, “it’s something that’s passed long ago, can’t have it, it’s too much. We’re living in a modern day, we’ve got to get modern ideas. We’ve got to have shuffleboards in the church, ping-pong games, and everything, to hold our young people.”
83 Brother or Sister, if it ever gets to a time that I have to have a card party in the church, to hold an audience, I’ll quit preaching the Gospel, ‘cause It’s lost Its power. I tell you, brother, what we need today is the old-fashioned, simple Gospel, Holy Ghost power preached in Its simplicity. “Men…If I be lifted up from the earth, I’ll draw all men unto Me.” Yes, sir.
84 We today, they say, “Oh, we can’t go back and do those things that the apostles did.”
85 We’re living in the last days, when God has promised He would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. Hallelujah! We are here at the end of the road. Thank God for some Calebs and Joshuas that’s ready to go over, hallelujah, go over and bring back the evidence, hallelujah, it’s a great land! Bringing back two bunches of grapes, and they was walking like this to try to pack it. What a ground! What a place! Thank God for people who’s crossed over, out of their old formal, shackled-down, ungodly church, mossback condition. Hallelujah! Got to a place where they stepped over in Canaan land, and eat a lot of good grapes that even make you slobber in the pulpit. Hallelujah! Some of that good old-fashion…Drunk on the wine, like Peter drank on the Day of Pentecost, when the power of God took over the church. Hallelujah! Kadesh-barnea. We can do it!

226 “Who stood by you when your mother was in labor?” Excuse me, sisters. “And they thought she was going to die. Who held his hands upon her, and prayed, while you was being born in this world? Your kind old priest. Who lifted you up to Jehovah, and circumcised you, and held you and made you…and offered you to Jehovah? That kind old priest.
227 “And look what this Jesus of Nazareth done, the other day. What’d He ever do for the fruit of the Spirit?
228 “Now, many of you are businessmen, you have—you have businesses here. You, you are merchants, and—and so forth. Jehovah requires a lamb for your sins. You don’t raise lambs. So what have these kind old priests did, so that your soul would not be lost? They had some sellers to go up there in the courts, make little cages, and put lambs in there; that you could take your income, that you would have done; made not of lambs, but you made it in something else, to keep our economy going. And they play…made a place so you, when you got sin-burdened, and you want to get released from your sins. This kind old priest had a place you could go buy a lamb. God didn’t want your money; He said, ‘a lamb,’ and you went and bought a lamb!
229 “What did this Jesus of Nazareth done? Come and kicked them things out, and emptied them up, and told them they was ‘a den of thieves.’ Not much fruit of the Spirit there, is there? Your kind old priest never gets out of humor. This Fellow platted ropes together, and kicked the tables over, and run them out there, and looked angered upon them. That’s not fruit of the Spirit. Your kind old priest! Who is going to say the last words over you? Your kind old priest. Who is going to permit, commit your soul to God? The kind old priest. See, fruit of the Spirit done it. And that Fellow had none of them!”
230 Now you say, “Brother Branham!” I could stay a sermon on this, but I won’t.
231 What is the fruit of the Spirit? The manifestation of the promised Word. If they’d just a stopped to look, He did not have these things that they had, fruit of the Spirit, or anything. But the Word that was promised that day was manifesting Himself, that was exactly the Light of the hour. That was It, see.
232 No matter how much education, and how kind, how much you speak with tongues, how much kind, gentle, and everything you are; unless you accept that Word of the hour, when It’s manifested before you, you’re in the same predicament.
233 That might sound crude, I don’t mean it that way, but it’s Truth. Just, just believe It, see. All right. Now God forgive me. You see what I mean?
234 Who had the fruit of the Spirit? Jesus! He said, “Search the Scriptures. You think They…In Them you think you have Eternal Life. They testify of Me. They tell you Who I am.” He never did come out and say Who He was. He didn’t tell them. And why He got His congregation that great…He said, “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His Blood,” as I said last night, “you have no Life.”
235 Why, my, that congregation said, “That Guy is crazy. What would doctors and science…Well, that Man trying to make cannibals.” He never explained It. It was time for them to turn Him down.
236 Then He had a bunch of preachers hanging around Him, borderline believers. He said, “Well, what are you going to say when you see Me ascend up from where I come from?”
237 “Come from? Well, we’ve seen the cradle You were born in, the city You were born in. We fished with You, out here on the hills. You, we walk with You, talk with You, and You come from…? Oh, my, now we know You’re crazy.”
238 But real, genuine faith don’t move. Them disciples couldn’t explain It, but they knowed there it was. See? It has to be something that God planted, had to be His thoughts before the foundation of the world, when He planned the whole redeemed. Ephesians 1:1-5, He planned the whole thing before the foundation of the world, His thoughts, and this is the attributes of His thoughts.
239 Look at Judas standing there, as a clergyman up here, “Yes, walking in the Light,” had power to heal the sick. Matthew 10 proves it. He sent them out, and they come back rejoicing, and devils was subject unto them. Judas with them! That’s right. He said, “Don’t rejoice that the devils is subject; but your names are written on the Lamb’s Book of Life.” Judas was with them. But when it come to taking the full Word of God, he turned It down.
240 So does people, today! See? Jesus said, “Man shall live by every Word,” not just one or two Words. Every Word!

69 Now what? Let me just give you a little twister here just a minute. I’d say, “How many has the Holy Ghost?” All of you raise up your hand. I’d say, “All right, I’ll see if you have.” The Bible said that they that had the Holy Ghost sighed and cried day and night for the abominations done in the city. Now, how many hand would go up? How many of you can’t rest at night, so full of joy, the power of God, and so sad for the people that’s lost, that day and night you weep and cry for the abominations? You won’t…See? Who would be that in the city? How many is, that’s in the church? That’s what the Bible said the Holy Spirit evidence was.
70 He told the sealing Angel (Ezekiel 9, that’s right), He said, “Take…Go through the city and set a mark upon those who sigh and cry for the abominations did in the city. The rest of them, let the destroying Angel destroy them.” No matter how much members they was and how many of the things they done, said, “Put a…” And a man with a inkhorn writer, dressed in white (which represented the Holy Spirit) came forth and put a mark upon all them that sighed and cried for the abominations done in the city. Now, you say…And watch what He said in there also. “Slay utterly, little children, old women, babies, kill them all!” Little children? Yes!
71 When Joshua entered the land of Canaan, he, said, “Don’t you let one of them live. If it’s a cute little baby, a little Amalekite, or a Amorite, kill it! You remember, he’ll grow up to be an Amalekite; he’ll pollute the camp.” And when those little things come back like that disagreeing with the Word of God, get rid of that thing. I don’t care what denomination it belongs to.
72 You say, “Well, they’re good…” I don’t care how good a people they are! If they’re contrary to that Word, get the thing out of you. It’s a growing little Amalekite. Looks cute, looks innocent; it looks like it’s all right, but don’t you have anything to do with. You stay away from it.
73 “Well, Brother Branham, I—I go down here, because…Well, I don’t…” You just remember, any Amalekite, anything that denies the Word, stay away from it; have nothing to do with it at all! How many believes that’s the Truth? Sure it is. See? Stay away from it!
74 Who sigh and cry for the abominations that’s did in the city…Where do you see that? I can show you ten thousand speaking in tongues to one that’s really burdened for sin…that can’t even pray a hour. But did you know the Bible said that…mark only those who sighed and cried for the abominations in the city? How many ever read it? Sure! That was the Holy Spirit come forth to mark the people, and said to the destroying Angel, “Go forth and destroy everything that doesn’t have that mark upon them.” And the mark of God is the Holy Ghost, is the Seal of God.
75 Now, where is them people that’s that interested? I can hear you people that jump up and down and cry in the church; I can show you people that shout and run all over the building; I can show you people that prophesy, and it comes to pass; I can show you those who speak in tongues, and—and run up and down the buildings, and say things that actually interprets, comes to pass; but where is that person that sighs and cries for the abominations that’s did in the city? Where’s that burdened soul? You could turn some new leaves on that. See what I mean?
76 Now, I’ve tried my best to—to—to tell you people and lead you like a daddy would lead his children. You are my children; I have begotten you to Christ through this Gospel that I preach. See? And I—I—I want you to raise up fully matured kids, or—or children. And I want to present you to Christ that day, as Paul said, “A chaste virgin.” There isn’t a thing in that Word but what your heart will punctuate “amen” to it.
77 Sin don’t have…Course you’ll do things wrong, but when the other, the very first thing condemns you, “Father, forgive me.”
78 I’m going to say this. Just looked at a person a few minutes ago. It was asked me by a fine boy the other day. We was hunting squirrels. That morning I got five; I left one of them for that afternoon. You only get six in the state of Kentucky; that’s the limit. So this certain person said, “I got nine.” Christian boy, fine kid. I said, “You done wrong. You did wrong!” He said, “Well…”
79 I said, “I had five that morning, saved one for that afternoon. And when I got that one squirrel, looked in a tree, and counted five or six setting right there where I could look at them, walked out and left them.” I said, “I walked up, in a tree here not long ago, and there was about fifteen or twenty setting there. I just took the limit, and walked away, and left the rest of them there.” I said, “If I come to this country, preach to you boys and you people here the thing that’s right, I’ve got to live that example.” Christianity ain’t what you say, it’s what you live, what you do; it’s an example. You’re the salt of the earth. I said, “Then, the law says…Jesus said, ‘You give Caesar them things that belong to Caesar.’ You break that speed law out there, what are you doing? You’re doing wrong; you sin. Give Caesar what’s Caesar’s, and God’s what’s God’s.”
80 Say, “Well, the law’s wrong.” I can’t help what wrong it is; it’s wrong to break Jesus’ commandment. And if you don’t give Caesar the things that’s Caesar, then you did what Jesus told you not to do, and the transgression of the law is sin. That right?
81 We’re all guilty; we do it. But when you see yourself wrong, stop it! People are watching you; people won’t go to church, but they’ll read you, see what you do.
82 So, get Christ in your heart; that’s a real…Christ and the Holy Spirit’s the same thing. Holy Spirit, Christ means “the anointed One.” And the Holy Spirit is that Anointing, and you are the one that’s anointed. See? And it’s Christ in you anointing you. See what I mean?
83 Then you’ve got the right thing. Then He can use you to anything He wants to use you in, ‘cause you’re in the Body and subject to any of those gifts. But see, to have one of the gifts outside of the Body, it would do you no good. “Though I speak with tongue of men and Angels, have not charity, it profit me nothing. Though I have faith and can understand all the mysteries of God, profit me nothing. Though I give my body to be burnt as a sacrifice, give all my goods to the poor, though I have faith to move a mountain, I am nothing.” See? Don’t depend on those things. The Holy Spirit is a Being; It’s God, God in you, the Person, God, that’s lit your whole entire being. You’re changed; you’re a new creature. Any little thing that’s wrong, He’ll tell you that’s wrong, then quit; don’t do it. “Father, I didn’t mean to do that, You forgive me.” See? And that’s—that’s the Holy Spirit.
84 I don’t care how much you spoke in tongues, how much you run, how much you jumped, how much you did this, that, or the other. See? Whatever you done, it wouldn’t mean a thing if the Holy Spirit wasn’t in there to condemn you on the things that’s right and wrong.
85 Now, that’s the reason that this person here is right. Let the Holy Spirit do it. But now (you see?), now, what’s causing this…Let me say it with love, sprinkled with love and—and anointed with the Word. See? If the genuine Holy Spirit was in you, you wouldn’t question that. You know it yourself, it’s an individual thing between you and God. See? You know that something’s happened. You know that there’s a change, whether there’s any—anything else, you yourself, you’re the change. See? You’re the one that’s done the changing, inside of you, and you know you have It. Whether you spoke with tongues, whether you jumped, shouted, or anything else, you know that God lives in you, that you don’t walk with your own mind, it’s the mind of Christ that leads you with that Word, just exactly the way It goes.
86 Now! But I would…If people say, “Well then, Brother Branham, you don’t believe we ought to speak with tongues?” See? Then you get exactly backwards what I’ve just said. Sure, I believe you should speak with tongues. And some of you people…See? But you get these, and…I get these, like back here this fifteen hundred miles (you see?), being here at the tabernacle. Just, if you don’t understand it, then ask me. See? Write it back to me if you don’t understand. Just say what I say here. See? And I…And you…As Paul said, “You follow me as I follow Christ.” You see? Then you see I’m wrong, then get away from me, see, that’s all, ‘cause I’d—I’d be the wrong person. See?

106 To you who in this audience, who has not a prayer card and believes that Jesus Christ is here to make you well, I believe that Jesus will heal you right now. Do you believe it? I tried to war back that spirit…That’s right, stand on your feet. Here we are. We’re at the borderland. Here’s the promise; let’s get it. God promised it. Move back all the doubt. Let the Holy Ghost come in, the power of God. O God, I pray now, I stand as Joshua in the valley, say, “The land is good. We’re going over after it, Lord; here we come in Jesus’ Name I cast out the spirit of unbelief and ask there won’t be a feeble one left, for God’s glory. Amen. And the people praised Him, give Him glory, Hallelujah.
