Deuteronomy 30:15-16 15See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
Hebrews 10:28-29 28He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the SPIRIT of GRACE?
Hebrews 10:28-29 AMP 28Any person who has violated and [thus] rejected and set at naught the Law of Moses is put to death without pity or mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse (sterner and heavier) punishment do you suppose he will be judged to deserve who has spurned and [thus] trampled underfoot the Son of God, and who has considered the covenant blood by which he was consecrated common and unhallowed, thus profaning it and insulting and outraging the [Holy] Spirit [Who imparts] grace (the unmerited favor and blessing of God)?
Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
John 16:8-11 8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Message Of Grace
August 27, 1961 · Jeffersonville, Indiana
So in the Deity of Jesus Christ, if the Lord God could come there and confirm that that is the Truth, not only that, but by His Word He confirms it’s the Truth, and by signs and wonders He confirms it’s the Truth, then, also, grace is the Truth. Then why could anyone criticize and say that grace is wrong, that “we’re saved by works”? We are saved by grace, that through faith, not by works. Works shows that you have been saved. But what saves you is the grace of God. Grace saves you. Grace is what God does for you. Works is what you do for God, to show appreciation of what God did for you. But by grace are you saved!
John 1:15-18 15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Romans 5:17 AMP For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:21 AMP So that, [just] as sin has reigned in death, [so] grace (His unearned and undeserved favor) might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) our Lord.
The Invisible Union Of The Bride Of Christ

37It was said, one time (I was reading, when I was writing the note for this, I—I could not exactly remember the book that it’s in, but I—I’m sure this is right), that (one of the books I read on Mr. Moody, Dwight Moody, in Chicago; we have a great listening church in Chicago, also, tonight), that, Mr. Moody, after reading Romans 7, ran into the street, and the first man he met, he said to him, “Do you know grace?”
And the man replied, “Grace who?”
Mr. Moody said, “The grace of God.”
38So, it so thrilled him when he seen what, how grace had separated us from the law, and how, that what part grace played. Well, now, anything that I want to do, is when…I always told the people, when I cross the line, on the other side, I’d like to stand up and sing:
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me!
Grace, precious grace!
More of grace to know!
39“For it’s by grace we are saved; not by what we can do.” What we can, whatever we do, is not counted to us. Grace is what saves us. “By grace are you saved, through faith.”
40May I add to this Woman, Grace, may I place Her in the Bible, also, as called the elect Lady, this Miss Grace I’m going to talk about. You know, the Bible declares, said, “To the elect Lady.” That, if you notice, “elect” come from the word “elected Lady.” One Lady, amongst all the other ladies, was elected. 41 Like, the virgin was to bring forth the body of God, on the earth. She was an elected woman. God chose Mary.
42And, also, God has chose an elected Lady, which is His Bride. She’s elected. I hope we’re members of that, tonight, across the world, across the nation, rather.
43The illustration here, showing the relationship of Bride to Christ, the elect Lady: and how She was to be brought to Him; where She would come from; and how that She would be brought to Him. The Church here, in illustration that we got in view, is illustrated by a woman. Which, a woman is always a type of the Church, because the Church is considered a Bride. A Bride, She is the Bride of the Lord Jesus, the Son of God.
44Always, if you’ll watch, watch the conditions and the conduct of women, and you’ll see where the church is.
Luke 4:17-22 17And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 22And all bare him witness, and wondered at the GRACIOUS WORDS which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 AMP Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of GRACE (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find GRACE to help in good times for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
2 Corinthians 9:6-11 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 11Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
2 Corinthians 9:8 AMP And God is able to make all GRACE (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].
Romans 6:1-2 <1/sup>What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 8:5-8 5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
John 8:10-11 10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I *CONDEMN thee: go, and sin no more.
Romans 6:14-23 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then *made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 22 But now being *made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 12:6-8 6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you FREE, ye shall be FREE indeed.
Titus 2:11-15 11For the GRACE of GOD that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live SOBERLY, RIGHTEOUSLY, and GODLY, in this present world (AGE); 13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (ZEALOUS FOR GOOD WORKS) 15These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Titus 2:11-15 AMP 11For the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind. 12It has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world, 13Awaiting and looking for the [fulfillment, the realization of our] blessed hope, even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One), 14Who gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people [to be peculiarly His own, people who are] eager and enthusiastic about [living a life that is good and filled with] beneficial deeds. 15Tell [them all] these things. Urge (advise, encourage, warn) and rebuke with full authority. Let no one despise or disregard or think little of you [conduct yourself and your teaching so as to command respect].
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Colossians 1:12-14 12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Titus 3:1-7 1Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 2To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. 3For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7That being *justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:1-7 AMP 1REMIND PEOPLE to be submissive to [their] magistrates and authorities, to be obedient, to be prepared and willing to do any upright and honorable work, 2To slander or abuse or speak evil of no one, to avoid being contentious, to be forbearing (yielding, gentle, and conciliatory), and to show unqualified courtesy toward everybody. 3For we also were once thoughtless and senseless, obstinate and disobedient, deluded and misled; [we too were once] slaves to all sorts of cravings and pleasures, wasting our days in malice and jealousy and envy, hateful (hated, detestable) and hating one another. 4But when the goodness and loving-kindness of God our Savior to man [as man] appeared, 5He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6Which He poured out [so] richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. 7[And He did it in order] that we might be justified by His grace (by His favor, wholly undeserved), [that we might be acknowledged and counted as conformed to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action], and that we might become heirs of eternal life according to [our] hope.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Psalms 8:1-9 1O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 3When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 9O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Genesis 1:26-28 26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 23Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
Ephesians 5:26-27 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Colossians 1:24-28 AMP 24[Even] now I rejoice in the midst of my sufferings on your behalf. And in my own person I am making up whatever is still lacking and remains to be completed [on our part] of Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of His body, which is the church. 25In it I became a minister in accordance with the divine stewardship which was entrusted to me for you [as its object and for your benefit], to make the Word of God fully known [among you]— 26The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations [from angels and men], but is now revealed to His holy people (the saints), 27To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory. 28Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One).

46In the garden of Eden when man sinned, first, look at the nature of a sinner, hiding. But it should have been Adam calling God; it was Adam hiding, and God calling Adam. You see it? That’s the nature of a sinner, hide, run away, get behind something. But, God calling! Oh, my. Grace, amazing grace, God calling. And now notice, you say, “Oh, that was Adam and Eve.”
47It’s always, through the Bible, the same. Jesus said, “No man can come to Me except My Father draws him.” Is that right? Now, that’s the Word. And that’s the way we want it, the Word, then you know where you’re standing.
48How many in here has…are Christians tonight, know that you’re Christians, there’s something in you says you are a Christian? Yeah. All right. You see? Why, you should be the happiest people in the world. You should just believe that. My, that’s easy, take God’s Word for it!
49Now, before you can become a Christian, God called you. Not you calling God; God called you. Now, He called Abraham, and he’s the father of us all, the faith. Notice now, He said, “Abraham!”
50Now, it’s election. I want to get on that election, strong, ’cause it’s the Truth. Now, you didn’t—you didn’t become a Christian just coincidence, because, you become a Christian before you was in this world. Before you were born, God ordained you to be a Christian, from the garden of Eden, from before the foundation of the world. “Oh,” you say, “is that right, brother?” That’s the Truth. God…before there was ever you knowed anything.

30We are tempted. All of us are tempted. All of us sin. There is none without sin. Every day we sin. Paul said he had to “die daily.” “And if we say we sin, and have no sin, then,” the Bible says, “we make God to lie.” And we could not do that. So, we sin daily. And it’s grace, God’s grace, that saves us.
31“And as we confess our wrongs, God is just to forgive them.” And your—your confession, as long as it holds good, your salvation is perfect. Same is it with Divine healing. It’s your personal faith in a resurrected Lord Jesus.

17Now, Jesus said, and we wouldn’t argue with Him. Jesus said, “No man can come to Me except My Father draws him first.” Then, it was God knocking at your heart, not you seeking God; it was God seeking you. So you see, the covenant is to you also, a grace covenant, because it’s God’s grace calling you. God has. He… You never chose Him; He chose you. Out of the millions in the world today, He reached down and chose you, because He put your name on the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world. That’s what the Bible said. Before there was a world, Jesus was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Because when God speaks anything, it’s so perfect, it has to take and—place, and it’s as good as done when God speaks it. Amen.
Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Hebrews, Chapter Two #2

172Man always feared death. Christ became sin, made low, to take death upon Himself. And He’s not ashamed to be called our “Brother,” for He was tempted just like we are tempted. And He can make the…be the right kind of an intercessor, ’cause He stood the same kind of a temptation that you stand. And He took your place, knowing that you couldn’t take it yourself.
173So, don’t you see, brother, sister? The whole thing is grace. All of it is grace. It’s not what you do, anyhow. It’s what He’s already done for you. Now, you can’t do one thing to merit your salvation. Your salvation is a gift. Christ became sin, that you might become righteous. And He’s the right kind of a Chief Captain for our salvation, because He suffered just like we suffered. He’s been tempted just like we’re tempted. And He’s not ashamed to be called “our Brother,” because He knows what we go through with. Oh, blessed be His Name! For verily he took not on him the form of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
174Oh, my! He didn’t become an Angel. He become the Seed of Abraham. “And we, being dead in Christ, take on Abraham’s Seed, and are heirs according to the promise.” See? He never took on the form of an Angel. He never become an Angel. He become a Man. He become the Seed of Abraham, and took the sting of death in His Own flesh, to reconcile us back to God, and now sets there for an Intercessor. My, how could we reject It, friend?
How Can I Overcome?

104Look. Temptation was for Him. You know that? The Bible said, “He was tempted in all points like we are, yet without sin.” He was tempted by—by drinking. He was tempted by women. He was tempted by everything that could be tempted by. He was tempted by everything that we are. He was a Man, and yet you couldn’t put a mark on Him. Yes, sir.
105Overcome means “to recognize the devil in every one of his tricks.” Lot of people says, “There is no devil. It’s just a thought.” Don’t you believe that. There’s a real devil. He’s just as real as you are or anybody. A real devil, and you must recognize him real. You must know he’s a devil. Then, the same time that you—you recognize him, and know that he’s a devil and he’s against you, then, to overcome, you must recognize that the God in you is greater and mightier than he is, that the One that’s in you has already overcome him. And, by His grace, you are more than a match for him. Amen. There’s real overcoming, when you recognize.

133God, by His election grace, called you. God, by His election grace, sanctified you. God, by His election grace and His power, baptized you and put you into this land of Rest. They which have entered into this Rest has ceased from their going astray. They ceased from their works like God did from His. They have joy unspeakable, and full of glory! The Tree of Life is blooming in them. They have longsuffering, gentle, goodness, patience made faith, faith, meekness, gentleness, and so forth.
