Isaiah 40:28-31 28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31But they that WAIT upon the Lord shall renew their STRENGTH; they shall mount up with wings as the eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31 AMP 31But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

Putting On The Whole Armor Of God

82The Chief is leading, leading us home. Amen. Come on home. “In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it wasn’t so, I’d have told you. I’ll not leave you comfortless: I’ll come again and be with you, even in you to the end of the world. The works that I do shall you do also. A little while and the world seeth Me no more; yet ye shall see Me: for I’ll be with you, even in you to the end of the world.” Chief, leading on. Amen.

My Lord knows the way through the wilderness. All I have to do is follow. Amen. Hear the tramp, tramp, tramping of the army, marching on to victory, not paying any attention to all this unbelief and old crows and buzzards hollering around here. We’re eagles. Let’s soar out of everything. Amen.

God’s Only Provided Place Of Worship

196That’s the same thing in the church. They’re trying to mix the denomination with the Word, to make the . . . try to make the Word say what the denomination says. And when you do that, you have to spray them, and baby them, and—and give them gold stars to come to Sunday school, and everything else. That’s right. When, a genuine, born-again Christian, born with the Word of God, he’s rugged. That’s you. The lice and things of the world don’t bother him. He’s an eagle, he flies plumb past it. See, soars in the heavenly. See? It is true. Nothing . . .

263We are tired of such stuff as that. Get back! You’re eagles; back to the Word of God! Be burly; nothing can hurt your feelings, therefore you’re free from all the scandal of man. Whatever anybody says against you, that just brings more love. Amen. And, quickening Power, caught away into the Heavenlies, a eagle that’s done flew above the chickens, way up yonder in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus! Oh! It was on Philip. That quickened him, caught him away.

The Countdown

76The spiritual astronaut is eagles. He goes beyond all denominational creeds, all denominational barriers, all denominational thinkings all their cloudy thoughts. He’s above every cloud, everything there is to look at, he’s up in the . . . around the stars: the astronaut. And the astronaut believer is also up in the heavenlies. He’s far beyond these earthbound things. He’s up high. He’s in the outer space. See, the earthly man doesn’t know very much about the outer space. But if the astronaut’s in the outer space, he’s there with it.

79What does it represent? A spiritual age, a spiritual time to where God’s going to have spiritual astronauts. Amen! They’re here right now! Hallelujah! The eagles of the air that can go beyond any other bird, sail above everything, spiritual astronauts (Glory!) that can take the Word of God and prove that He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. A spiritual astronaut! Oh, my! Glory! That makes me feel good, living in this age! Now what a wonderful thing for a spiritual astronaut! See? What is it? What did the natural scientists do? Has been able to achieve that. And God, through man who would stay with the Bible and say that “He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever,” and not afraid of the promise regardless of what anybody said, stay with it. What is it? You become in an astronaut that can go so far it’s beyond denominational thinking. It’s beyond anything else. It’s beyond the things of the church. Out yonder with God and Him alone you stay. Astronauts!

Countdown

81God wants man who can come into Christ and believe that He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever, and don’t take their own thinking, move out into space, controlled by the Holy Ghost. Amen. Astronauts! Whew! How far it is back from the old horse and buggy! How far it is even from the airplane! How far it is from justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Ghost! They’re coming to eagles. The first, they were lizards, then they become chickens, then they become crows, but now they’re eagles. No one can follow them!

82An eagle is a special bird. He can go higher than any other bird. He’s prepared to see, keep his head level when he gets up there. There’s some people can jump way up and don’t know where they’re at after they get there, ‘cause he can’t see no farther than what he’s jumped. But there’s some that can look back and see what’s going on. That’s the eagle. He can stand there till he looks it over, and waits till he hears a message that tells him what to say. That’s the astronaut of God. See? It’s followed all the other achievements, why won’t it follow this achievement?

As The Eagle Stirreth Up Her Nest

21Another thing about an eagle, an eagle is a—a special bird, because he will never build his nest on the ground. He builds his nest way high. He likens that to His church. You are a city that sets on a hill, not in a valley. You’re a city that sets on a hill, that can be seen far off. A lighted candle, it can be seen far out. The church setting high, with high expectations, high ambitions . . .

Matthew 24:28 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Return And Jubilee

November 22, 1962 · Shreveport, Louisiana

63A eagle can go where no other bird can think of going. If he’d try to follow him, he’d disintegrate. He’s a special built bird, yes indeed. I will tell you, a man that’s borned of the Spirit of God is a special built man or woman. Hallelujah. They’re born with a Spirit in them and knows how to act and to do and to be a son of God. Amen. It’s true. You know that’s the truth.

Yes, sir, we don’t have to have . . . Our women, it used to be a shame for our women to cut their hair. They’re doing it. It used to be wrong for women to wear makeup, they do it: Pentecostals.

I went here not long ago to one of our famous Pentecostal churches. They knowed what was coming, so I just go preach the Word. And I’ve been preaching it . . . Every one of them got up and went out almost. They didn’t have hardly enough to have a Sunday school. There went bobbed hair women, Rickys and Elvises, and all of them taking off one way and this way, that way, and was Sunday school teachers. I said, “That bunch of chickens, they can’t stand good fresh meat.” That’s right.

We need a Holy Ghost. Eagles eat eagle food. Eagles don’t live off of creeds. They live off of the Holy Ghost. They live off of Christ. God’s real eagles, they’re had to be born special.

Questions And Answers #1

54Not what Noah done, what Moses done, they’re examples; we see and read what they did, but it’s what He promised to do now. He was the Word back there; that was the Carcase for that day. The day of—of Wesley was a carcase for that day; the day of Luther was a carcase for that day; but they don’t go back to that. That’s already contaminated. What was left over must be burned, of the Communion even; don’t leave it for the next generation. The Bible said when you’re taking the Communion, what’s left over of it, don’t even let it lay till morning; burn it. So refer back to that? No, sir! We got fresh Food today; that’s the Word that’s promised to this hour, be made manifest in this hour. That’s where the eagles are, where the carcase is. We can stay a long time on that, but I’m sure you understand what I mean.

Revelation 4:7 (KJVS) And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

The Easter Seal

April 10, 1965 · Phoenix, Arizona

182“As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man. They were eating, drinking, marrying, given in marrying. And as it was in the days of Lot, so will it be in the hours that the Son of man will be revealed on earth,” not Son of God, no more. “Son of man,” come back as the prophetic Message for the last day when that eagle will be flying; not the lion; not the ox in the sacrifice age. See?

183Every time, a religious power went forth to meet the challenge of the political power of the world. When the lion raised up, the religious power, it went to meet the Roman power.

184And then when come the sacrifice hour, the ox went, because he’s the sacrifice Beast of the Lord.

185Then come the reformers, down through the church ages, come the face of a man. And the reformers had been since Luther, Wesley, oh, Calvin, on down, down, pentecostal age.

186But in the last Message that went forth, there come a flying eagle. It’s eagle time, reveal time, the Word of God made manifest, the Word of God proved. Oh, children, walk into this baptism of the Holy Spirit. Come in and believe It, with all your heart, God will fill you.

The Fourth Seal

120But under the revelation of the lion . . . Now watch. Now I want to read this close, so I’d be sure; wrote down some of the place, stand here. Under, not under the revelation of the lion’s age, or of the first age, the early age, This wasn’t revealed. The next age was the age of the ox, which is the dark age, the middle age, it wasn’t revealed as what It was. Nor the man-like Beast, of wisdom, representing the reformers, Luther and Wesley and so forth, It wasn’t revealed. **But in the eagle age, the last age, the prophetic age, where there is to rise prophetic utterance, see, to whom the secrets always comes! **Now there is where we just . . .

Watchman, What Of The Night?

November 30, 1958 · Jeffersonville, Indiana

35And as Isaiah in his day, was speaking that God had made him a watchman. God likened His prophets like eagles. And as I have often preached of the subject of the eagles, the eagle is a bird who can go higher than any other bird. And he has to be built special for that altitude that he goes into. Now, the hawk could never follow him. No other bird could follow him. He’s God’s designed bird. And he was made thus. If another bird tried to take his place, he would perish. He has to have strong feathers, strong wings. And what good would it do him to go high if he couldn’t see, have good eyes to see. A hawk would be blind up there. He could not see.

37But higher the eagle climbs, the further off he can see. And God likened His prophets to the eagles. They are the watchman that climb higher so that they can see further off. And their eyes are made spiritual so that they can see the approaching dangers. And God had set Isaiah up to warn the people that there was approaching danger, and they wouldn’t listen to him. And today God still has eagles, our messengers, our man on the tower, who climbs up in the Spirit far beyond all the mechanisms, and all the atomic bombs, and the scientific researches. He has men who is special designed for that purpose, who climbs up the ramparts of Calvary in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and stands on the top of the cross, and can send the message back, “THUS SAITH THE LORD.” Their spiritual sight is far greater than the priest in the temple, far beyond the ordinary man in the walk of life. For they are special designed for the duties that God has called them to. Therefore, it pays us to take heed when we hear of the things that are approaching.

Psalms 103:5 (KJVS) Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalms 103:5 (AMP) Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!

Letting Off The Pressure

June 9, 1962 · Aberdeen, North Carolina

40I was reading here not long ago . . . I preached a subject called, The Eagle Stirreth Its Nest, in Chicago. I was reading about a certain kind of an eagle. There’s* forty different kinds of them,** they claim, means a “ripper with the beak.” God always likens His people to eagles. He calls Himself Jehovah-eagle.

And His little eaglets, that’s those who are borned of Him. And I made a little rude illustration many times on that, how that . . . how the eagle gets her little ones ready to fly, and takes them up in the air, and turns them loose.

And if a crow tried to get up there, every feather would fall out of him. He’s not pressurized to it. See, he couldn’t stand the pressure. But the eagle is the only bird that’s born with that kind of a feather, that can go so high till a hawk couldn’t even come around him. And he’s got eyes . . . And higher you go the further you can see. And what good would it do him to get up there, if he didn’t have eyes to see way away? He couldn’t see back where he come from.

And that’s the way with the Christian. Some of the people maybe got a buzzard disposition, and eating the things of the world, and the vulture, and try to fly up there with an eagle, why, he—he blows up. There’s too much pressure. You got to be made for it.

41And this certain kind of a eagle, when he begins to get old, he gets weary, like all of us old people, and he gets a crust over his head. And he gets so weary he don’t know what to do. And now, the Bible said that the eagle renews his youth. So I studied about this fellow. And when he gets old and weary, and that crust all over his head, he flies just as high as he can go till he finds a great high rock. He sets down by the side of this rock, and he sets there and beats his head on this rock.

What’s he trying to do? Beat the crust off, all the crust. And the blood will fly out of his head. He goes through all kinds of torture. But as long as he can feel some of the crust on him, he’s got to get that off. So he beats it on the rock, just keeps beating till all the crust is off his head.

And as soon as all of his crust is off his head, though he’s bleeding, wounded, he just screams to the top of his voice. He lets off the pressure. Why? Because, as soon as all that crust is off, then he renews his youth. It’s sure to come, so, as soon as all the crust is gone, he can start screaming, because he knows that he’s got rid of all the crust. So his youth is sure to be renewed, so he can just let off the pressure and start screaming, because he’s going back to a young eagle again. That’s wonderful. I’m glad for the eagle. I’m glad for that bird.

42But you know, I know a Rock where that we can go, and beat in prayer till all the crust of the world is beat away from us, till all the unbelief in God’s Word is beat away, till we enter into a place where all things are possible. And as soon as we got all the world and unbelief in God’s Word beat off of us, then we can scream and shout because Eternal Life is sure, just as certain as anything. Certainly, because all the world is beat off.

If you keep the world onto you, keep loving the world and the things of the world, you’re sure to die. But if you can get away from all of that, then your youth will be restored. You’ll have Eternal Life. So glad of that.

76And if he can’t knock it off, he dies. But if he gets it knocked off, he will start rejoicing and screaming. You can hear him for miles, just screaming. Why? He knows that he’s got all the crust off of him. He knows that his youth’s going to be renewed because that he got the crust off. That’s wonderful. I appreciate that for the eagle . . .

55“As an eagle renews his youth.” Yes, sir. The revival takes and shakes all the old funny feelings away from you, fly out into an atmosphere yonder. Likened His heritage to an eagle, because the eagle renews his youth.

Now, makes him shout. You watch the church. It’ll be setting, all dry. First thing you know, the Holy Spirit strikes them, their youth . . . Why, the old people is just up on their feet, jumping and shouting and praising God, renews their youth again. That’s right. Do anything a young person can do, just jump, and holler, and scream, and shout. He renews his youth. That’s right. I believe in that, don’t you?
