Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
“What ought all our conduct to be? Not like the world, but we should act like sons and daughters of God, conduct ourselves like King’s children, not like slaves of fashions, and slaves of passion, and slaves of pride. And we should be sons and daughters of God, and act like it, and conduct ourselves that way. Let our conversations and everything be seasoned with God’s Spirit.” — Rev. William Marrion Branham
The definition of PRIDE is as follows: An inordinate self-esteem; an unreasonable feeling of superiority as to one’s talents, beauty, wealth, rank, and so forth; or arrogance of demeanor.
Pride has a tendency to creep in when we are not praying and reading God’s precious Word! Without our Savior, we are NOTHING, and we must resist the temptation to think that we have accomplished anything on our own!
“Pride deafens us to the advice or warnings of those around us.” — John Maxwell
Look to Him with simple, humble loving faith, and say, “God, cleanse me from all selfishness and take all impurities from me, and let me from this day be wholly Thine.” See what God will do for you." — Rev. William Marrion Branham
As Believers, we must make every effort to choose HUMILITY. We must YIELD all that we are to God and let Him accomplish GREAT things THROUGH us!
1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
As the Bride of Christ, we renounce the spirit of pride and arrogance and we pray that the genuine spirit of humility will cloak us in Holiness and Purity as we march on in TRUTH!
