“I don’t ask Smith how he feels, I tell him!”
Smith Wigglesworth
“I don’t ever ask Smith Wigglesworth how he feels!” I jump out of bed! I dance before the Lord for at least 10 to 12 minutes – high speed dancing. I jump up and down and run around my room telling God how great He is, how wonderful He is, how glad I am to be associated with Him and to be His child.”
Smith Wigglesworth
“If you dwell on your own feelings about things rather than dwelling on the faithfulness, the love, and the mercy of God, then you’re likely to have a terrible, horrible, no good day. Our feelings are very fleeting, aren’t they? We can’t depend on them for five minutes at a time. But dwelling on the love, faithfulness, and mercy of God is always safe."
Elisabeth Elliot
“The time comes when you have to stand on God’s Word. Stand alone. But when that time comes, stand there. There’s got to be a time when you’ve got to separate yourself between your feelings and your faith.”
Bro. William Branham
Lamentations 3:22-24 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
Sometimes I just can’t help the way I feel! However, I CAN help how I react to those feelings! I must surrender and submit them to God and His will for my life. I must choose to respond in a way that is based on God’s Truth for the situation at hand and intentionally put FAITH over my own FEELINGS!
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Stand on God’s WORD today and tell yourself how to feel!
