“Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His Presence with singing.” Psalm 100:2
In the verse above, we are instructed to SERVE the Lord with GLADNESS—it is the Hebrew word for JOY! It means with joyful exuberance. We are NOT orphans and we are NOT in slavery!
We are CHOSEN to be SONS! Our approach and service to King Jesus should be with delight and with joyful singing! When we come into His presence, we should posture ourselves in awe-filled celebration of WHO—He is and brimming with the wonder of WHO We are—IN HIM!
“Worship the LORD and serve Him with reverence [with awe-inspired fear and submissive wonder]; Rejoice [yet do so] with trembling.” Psalm 2:11 (AMP)
In this verse, we are told to serve the Lord in fear. There is no contradiction here! This FEAR is REVERENTIAL. We recognize that we are His workmanship, He CREATED us and He is sovereign in our lives!
We must serve HIM in both JOY and REVERENCE! In gladness, we acknowledge His EXCELLENCY and His HOLINESS in our lives! We should also tremble in AWE and RESPECT, when we minister to Him DAILY in PRAISE and WORSHIP! We are so so so BLESSED to have been called to LIVE and SERVE such an AWESOME God!
I am BLESSED to have you in my life!
